Good location by Cambridge station. Good breakfast, cafe open all day. Limited restaurant food choice, but I didn't use it. The only downside for me was the comfort of the bed - the 2nd night was painful lying on either side.

Great location, right next to station and not a long walk into centre of Cambridge. Staff were very helpful, also allowed us to leave luggage before and after check-in. Rooms were decent for the price.

Dropped the ball this time.

I stay at the Ibis two or three times a year. This time, they dropped the ball. I arrived late in the evening and they had given away my room. Same happened to my colleague. They said it was due to electrical problems in our rooms, but it was strange and I didn’t quite believe the story. I believe they overbooked and since we arrived late at night, the rooms were gone.They sent us to another hotel that was very far and my room had a twin bed. The air conditioner was broken, and there was no hot water in the bathroom. Seriously? This has me questioning my loyalty to ibis in Cambridge. At least offer some sort of monetary reimbursement or a food voucher as well.

The people were very professional and friendly. The room was disappointing. No wash cloths or hand towels. No facial tissues. The sheets were scratchy and the pillow was uncomfortable. We enjoyed the restaurant.

Hotel reception, cafe and bar are great. Would be nice to have a bit more room as it was full when large groups were there. Good to be able to get drinks and snacks late into the evening. Food was very good quality. The area around the hotel has lots of food shops and outlets. Restaurants etc were only a short walk away. Central Cambridge is a 25 minute walk but a straightforward route. All staff were friendly and very helpful. One lift was out of service so had to use the stairs a few times. Not always easy to go up 5 floors! Didn’t use the buffet breakfast but would have liked to be able to use the space during the day to chill out. Our room was basic but a reasonable size for a budget hotel. I don’t like the ‘pod’ style bathrooms as everything is very plasticky and the shower lacked power but it was functional. The mattress was awful and had a thick topper added which had also seen better days. 3 nights of bad sleep wasn’t great. Please change the mattress in room 512. It would also have been useful to add a small fridge in the room. On the whole it was a good place to stay for visiting Cambridge.

The only problem I had was the step into the bathroom - I am elderly and it was a potential trip hazard. Also could you quote the price including the tax rather than adding it at the end? it was a bit of a shock.

The room was exactly as pictured. The room is definitely small but worked for 2 people. The location next to the train station is super convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful.
