I was disappointed with the whole stay. For the price of the room for 1 night I was expecting much better service and facilities. It was highly recommended to me but has obviously gone downhill since. Room:- 1. There were no teaspoons and minimal tea and coffee supplies for the cost of the accommodation for the night. 2. The bathroom floors become very wet and dangerous after having a shower, and I had to use my only towel to wipe it up so my 80 year old mother wouldn't slip. Maybe provide mops to do this with if the flooding of the floor is unavoidable. Or extra towels. The cafe downstairs is a absolute joke!! What happend to the wondeful cafe that used to be there? Wouldn't even bother advertising what is there, they couldn't even toast banana bread and the coffee was bitter and undrinkable. And maybe remove the section in your information brochure in the room about your service to pre-order a taxi. A button that is not reliable and telling your guest "to just download an app on your phone to pre-book a taxi" is not a pre-booking service!! All in all was not impressed and won't be recommending to anyone.

An exceptional hotel. Hopefully the cafe attached (which is not owned by the hotel) can soon return to opening for breakfast reliably 7 mornings a week. The hotel itself is all round excellent.

The Essence Suites were ideal for a quiet, well appointed, spacious room which I needed to focus on work. With Taringa train station, great cafe downstairs, Coles supermarket and nail salon a short walk away- it was a convenient location. The staff were lovely and very welcoming, cafe staff were also very friendly & food/coffee was great, recommend.

Beds were only ok, bit too spongy. Views were great. Bathroom was for a disabled person or elderly. Not appropriate for anyone else. Water from shower flooded the floor due the enlarged curtain set up and poor tiling arrangement. Central drain top was In disgraceful condition and should be replaced.

The location is very convenient especially if using public transport. There is a Coles near by and coffee shops. The staff were very helpful. The room was clean with great views of the city and surrounding areas.
