Nice Hotel, full of history

Pros: The location is the major draw card.
Cons: The doors to the room were difficult to close.
Location: The Hotel is opposite the beach and pier, while being a close walking distance to the shopping precinct and The Lanes.
I had a lovely stay at this Hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, and aside from the difficulties of doors closing due to old age, the room was in good condition. The staff were lovely and accommodating. The location of this hotel was also a major draw card, as it is right across from the beach and pier, while also being extremely close to The Lanes.

Good location with excellent high tea

Pros: Position. High Tea. Great reception staff who were very helpful.
Cons: Tired rooms, sound proofing. Restaurant food and staff. Breakfast was not great with dry mushrooms and over cooked eggs. Table not cleaned properly.
Location: Great water front location. Easy walk to the pier, 360i, the palace, restaurants and theatres.
There is no doubt the location of this hotel is excellent but our room was what might be described as "tired". It also isn't very soundproof so outside noise was a bit of an issue even though we were on the 4th floor. We did enjoy an excellent high tea with live music and a great view and seating which was great and it is probably a reasonable value hotel given the rates in Brighton. Parking was also easy underneath.

Pros: Great location in an old iconic building
Cons: Had difficulty checking in even with the wotif voucher. Did get sorted by the lovely staff but bit of a system issue.
The Brighton pier is just metres away, as well as the iconic laneways with gray shopping & dining. Restuarant & Bar in hotel also worth checking out!
