The Hilton Garden Inn is a lovely hotel, in a great location with good facilities - comfy bed, great shower and good breakfast. Our only disappointment was the bar service when we arrived back at the hotel after a concert, around 1045, and found that cocktails were not served after 1030 and many of the items we enquired about were not available and snacks could only be ordered at reception? As hotel guests, we felt that we were not particularly welcome to stay in the bar area and we left without finishing our rather expensive drinks. The bar experience was the only negative from an otherwise excellent few days in Birmingham.

Enjoyed our stay. The breakfast buffet was really good. The room we had was near the stairs & very noisy as it kept slamming - this went into the early hours.

I enjoyed an excellent 2-night stay at the HGI. The high point was the attitude of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. On the second day, the chair in my room kept slipping making the use of my computer nigh on impossible when I needed to be able to use it. Thomas, one of the duty staff on the front desk, sent a maintenance guy to my room with a replacement chair within 15 minutes. Job done. On the same day reasonable accommodation was made by the restaurant staff in the evening to allow me a different table in the restaurant rather then the bar to cater for my arthritis because the original seat was too low and I feared not being able to get up. No debate. No pack drill. They just did it for me. The meal was very good! The only slightly disappointing feature was the breakfast, which was mass produced, which is understandable given the likely number of guests. It was certainly edible but not as appetising as it might have been. However, this does not detract from a really enjoyable staff. I had stayed there previously and will certainly stay there again.

Parents (65+) stay in BRM

Parents were given accessible room but bathroom door wouldnt shut properly and the shower was not great as unable to move shower head to allow standing shower. Unclear as to why they were allocated that room as both perfectly mobile. Room was clean however a hugher floor and standard room would have been preferable. Freidnly staff, clean hotel, very central location 👌

Hardest ever bed!

The bed in room 209 was so hard I couldn’t sleep. I will never stay in this hotel again and will certainly remove it from my companies list of hotels to stay in as a result of this. Completely unacceptable level of comfort

I stayed in a King Room for two nights. The room was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable with hotel quality white bedding and plumptious plllows. In room facilities were good i.e tea tray was well stocked and items replenished daily. The bathroom was spacious with a separate shower compartment, lovely soft towels provided and good quality soap. shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in dispensers. Housekeepimg was very good. All staff were excellent and friendly from reception to check out and dealt with any issues promptly. Breakfast buffet was particularly good and offered everything you could want. In all, very good value for money in an excellent location.
