The absolute worst experience I’ve had here at this hotel in the 10-15 times I’ve stayed here. The staff does not care at all about the well being of the guests. I will absolutely never stay at this hotel again! Ever!

The rooms were clean and comfortable, but very, very dark, even during daylight hours. There’s not enough lighting in the rooms. (We had two rooms, and this was an issue with both of them). It didn’t help that the bulb was burnt out in one of the wall sconces in our room. Also… the biggest issue… there is no soundproofing between the atrium area where they hold Christmas parties and the guest rooms above. It sounded like the dj from the Christmas party was literally inside our rooms. The location was convenient and staff were friendly, though.

This hotel worked out GREAT for us during our five day stay in Banff. The location was perfect, as we were walking distance to lots of restaurants, markets, and such. The hotel itself was very comfortable. The staff was great. No complaints at all!

We've stayed at the Ptarmigan several times. It's convenient to park the car and walk everywhere in Banff. The king suite is very spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff are very courteous and checked to see if we needed anything. The heated underground parking area is a real plus in cold weather. Our only complaint (if you can call it that) is that the room was overly warm, even with the heat turned off. However, the windows opened, so it was okay.

Spend a quick night there, hotel was generally well appointed. One area for improvement is the A/C in the rooms... system does not cool below 72F... would appreciate having a cool room while i sleep
