I needed something printed around 10pm and front desk clerk was able to do it and very helpful with information on the tour we were taking the next morning. She went above and beyond her duties. I’m just wish I could remember her name.

It has potential but someone has to care

The Banff Park Lodge's location is so convenient it's as if the staff is just coasting on it. It's not that service is bad just indifferent. Breakfast was open at 6:30am but there was no one on duty to seat or wait on you. Front desk paid no attention when I told them the shuttle driver would be by shortly to drop off my forgotten phone and asked them to call the room when it arrived. Fortunately, I happened to be in the lobby when he came in as the woman that had checked me in 20 minutes before just looked at him blankly when he tried to drop it off. And no, it was not busy. Linens were scratchy, A/C exceptionally noisy while never getting the temp low enough for the too heavy down blanket. Tried ear plugs. Never could get comfortable.

The staff & location were excellent. For the price of the room I would have expected that it would have included some kind of breakfast buffet of some sort considering that the Super 8 at least offers it & is less expensive. The cable package in the room was also very basic which I would have expected to be better as well for the price of the room

A nice place to stay but very expensive. The rates bounced around quite a bit. I thought i was paying less than $500 per night but it ended up being more than $700. one of the bedside lamps did not work due to a missing switch and the coffee service in the room was week.

We stayed here with our 2 kids and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was newly updated and the pool area was very nice and really well kept. The hotel is undergoing some renovations but it did not impede our enjoyment. We would absolutely recommend!

Unfortunately, during our stay we experienced a number of amenities missing, such as finishes in the washrooms/bathrooms; No towel holders, no toilet paper holder, no shelves in the shower, no patio furniture on the beautiful patio, no complimentary water in the room on arrival, etc. These things seem small, but after carefully selecting a property at what works out to be almost $1,000CAD a night, we were quite disappointed. The property is wonderfully located so making quick trips back during a day of shopping or walking around to rest your feet is very easy. Understandably - the world is facing shortages in various supply chains, so we are sincerely hoping this property can manage to acquire the finishing hardware and other items required to provide a more comfortable stay. We would return, but would want to be sure the rooms were completely done prior to our visit. If so, this would be a fantastic spot!
