The room was spotless, the staff was very nice and accommodating. There is underground parking with ski lockers and an Elevator. The hotel has a large, well maintained hot pool available to guests. The Keg restaurant was in the hotel had amazing food and great staff! Overall our visit was very pleasant.

Room was average size clean could use some updating and staff could be more attentive at front desk. Maybe do inspections for mold in bathrooms and make sure smoke detectors are firmly on the wall / ceiling

The staff were friendly and the accommodations were so charming. Our whole family of five loved our time here and will be back. We had one small issue and we were so impressed with how the staff handled/corrected the situation. Great place to stay if you want to feel like a valued guest. Great place to stay if you want a charming mountain stay. Wonderful job Banff Caribou Lodge! Thanks for an incredible time.

Good spot. But the beds. My god. It was like a rock. Do people actually like beds that hard. Seems crazy to me. Everything was good. But the beds were so bad that I wouldn’t stay here again…. Only cause of this. Everything else was on Point.

2nd time visiting the Caribou, unfortunately this time wasn’t as good as the first. I was put into room 110, which is right across the hall from the hot pool. Inside my room was humid, hot, and reeked of chlorine. The pool room door was wide open the whole stay, letting more chlorine smell out. On top of that, it’s a very loud hallway, with a mix of adults/children making noise, which the room doesn’t do a good job of muffling. On top of that, staff members were moving linen bins back and forth during the night and early morning. For the price I paid, the value wasn’t there. Quite dissapointed.

The place is ok. When i arrived to check in, the guy at the desk said for another $25 I could take a nicer room with a mountain view.. I said why not. He totalled me up and said it would be nearly another $100... I asked why, he said it was for the $25. It was $25 a night, not total. He was trying to scam me without communicating the total. So then he put me in a room right by the washer dryers for the hotel and hot tub so it was mega loud the entire time. The place is fine, nothing to write home about. They were jack hammering and doing construction at the restaurant also...

This was my first stay at The Caribou. Been to Banff many times and always stayed elsewhere. The hotel is on the outskirts of the main Banff strip but not too far to walk, about 15 mins with good footwear. We were there in Dec so it was chilly and snowy so proper boots are a must. The lobby is quaint and was decked out in Christmas finery. The lobby has a wood burning fireplace that was always lit and inviting. The rooms are a bit small and could use some updating but it was quiet and comfortable.

Basic cleaning wasn’t completed. Amenities poor-sauna wasn’t hot, no complimentary coffee/water/hot chocolate or anything available in lobby. Vending machines pricey with minimal options. Fridge in room was not cold. Lack of available networks on tv basic cable) for movies/etc is disappointing. Staff sparse and not helpful. When asking about simple viewing and best viewing options of gondola or other Banff activities/attractions knowledge was limited. Antonio, the front desk clerk, called us at EXACTLY 11am to tell us re check out. In all my time staying at hotels, this has never happened & was extremely rude. We were in the process of getting our stuff packed up and into the elevator.-note Vacancy sign at your establishment so this definitely seemed uncalled for. The bed was uncomfortable with poor blankets/sheet for cover up. No plug in outlets near bed or in room for charging phones. Had to put away coffee maker in another area just to charge phones. A hair dryer, robes, and upgraded bathroom amenities would be a nice touch. This is basically a 3 star hotel. Would stay at another property next trip back.
