NASTY ROOMS! I booked a room here for a few nights (over the holiday weekend) so that my girlfriend and I could enjoy our first trip away together. Neither of us have been to Banff before so I went all out with our stay; hardly sparing any expense only to find that the room wasn’t cleaned properly. I went to grab the hair dryer and was met with a previous guests used underwear and socks!! I went down to inform about it to the front desk about the situation and all they offered was a pie or a bottle of cheap $11 sawmill creek wine from the Keg (yes i found the same bottle in store after)… Really?? That's all that was offered to me? I spend over 1000$ on a room and they can’t even ensure that the room is cleaned properly? Absolutely unacceptable! On top of that, it took them over 2 hours for them to come and remove the items from our room and when they delivered the wine to us, the wine glasses they gave us were not clean. I’d expect this if we were staying at a cheap motel NOT a fancy resort hotel. Will not be staying here again, totally ruined the trip, i advise you to go anywhere else as the front desk staff are totally unsympathetic. SCAM ARTISTS!

4 nights stay only 1 day housekeeping prepared the room and only after a complaint. Only two towels provided for a two queen bed room for three people. Had to take out my own trash. Excuse provided that they have to 6:00 pm to do rooms! It’s dark by 4:30 and most skiing is done sooner. Never again! Every other hotel in Banff can get their rooms done - lame excuse, hire more staff then.

Great known quantity, solid value, professionally run, great location. I’ve stayed there dozens and dozens of times over the years and it’s like coming home every time. Hot tub is basement stuff, but it’s the best basement hot tub in Banff.

Overall the stay was fine. Unfortunately there were a few things that were not as expected (although the staff did their best to accommodate). -We arrived to find out that the pool/hot tub was down. At which point they informed us we could use the pool/ hot tub at one of their other hotels (Nice, but not very convenient to have to leave your hotel to go to another location to use the pool). - Our check-in room was dirty. At which point the staff moved us to another room that was clean! Again very nice and accommodating but not necessarily what you are hoping for when spending a good amount of money for a stay. Again our stay was fine, but it certainly left something to be desired.

Good: Room was decent. Short walk to town. Good restaurant (The Keg) in the lobby. Bad: Fitness Center was closed and in the middle of a renovation. No mention of this was made prior to check in. Pool was closed. No mention of this upon check in as well. We were offered the ability to use a pool down the street. Nice pool but a 5 minute walk in -10 to another pool wasn't amazing. No compensation or discount was offered for our stay. Very disappointed with this hotel. Too many great options in Banff to have a stay like this.

Had to change rooms twice. Chlorine level in pool was excessively high it was so bad your eyes would burn and you could taste the chlorine . Staff refused to help. First room had window frozen open. Front desk staff didn’t want to assist and tried to use the excuse of too many bathers. It was bad enough they had to close the pool. Staff is dishonest and I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay there till they fix their issues. Asked for a manager and no one would connect with us. More to say but will leave it at that for now
