What could go wrong did. Check in good, friendly. Found our room. It was a long drive, icy roads, etc. Room was cold, very cold. Hadn't staff set the temp beforehand? So after an hour of trying to get warm, called the front desk, they sent a tech who tried to get it reset. Said it was fixed. Good! NOT! The temp started dropping. Called the desk. "We can offer you a 1/2 off room rate" WHAT, I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EARS!
The manager got on the phone.
"Move to another hotel, nicer suite, gift card and half off room rate."
That's what I call service! Though I will never stay at this hotel again, I will tell people that I was impressed with his action.
