Despite booking a Deluxe Room, we were instead placed in a Kitchenette Suite as an “upgrade.” This was not an upgrade. The room was poorly maintained: it smelled bad, did not have functioning AC throughout the space, several outlets didn’t work, and the lights were mismatched and unpleasant.
On the first night, when we asked to be given the room we originally booked—or, failing that, to cancel with refund so we could find other accommodations—we were told by the front desk that nothing could be done and that we would have to wait until the next day.
Manager moved us to the Deluxe Room (which was much more acceptable) the second night.
