The carpet in the hallways were old and has a smell. The beds are of a 2 start rating hotel, shaky, squeaky and uncomfortable. Shower had hair on the walls seems as from previous person who stayed in that room.

We went to check in and were told it was early and our room would be expedited so we went to eat. We do appreciate it when we get checked in earlier than the 4pm but don’t expect it. Only one pizza place open in the entire place. Pizza was good and staff were nice but the appearance was grim at best. Went back to desk to find out if our room was done told it would be another hour. We waited in total 3 hours for our room . Now granted we were early but someone could have told us from the get go. We were under the impression it wound have been done relatively soon so we were just sitting and waiting. When we finally got our room it was so old and outdated. Stains on the furniture and no pull out bed. No furniture in the balcony which was the entire reason for booking the suite. Which was not cheap by any means. We could have easily get a comped room at the other hotels but choose to go to Showboat. Went backdown to customer service and there were like yea top floor suites no pull out. Offered a rollaway bed and would try to get a chair or too for balcony. Never got the chairs and were not able to enjoy the balcony. Next day no restaurants open at all. This was a total disappointment only thing that saved our visit was Ocean casino. Where we will be staying next time. I would have spoken to a manager if I really thought they would've cared. This is the second visit and we figured we would try one more time however we were even more disappointed.

We were supposed to stay two nights at the showboat but we only stayed one night because we were in town to see the Kane Brown in concert and the hotel was disgusting. We tried to advise the staff of how bad the room was but they didnt care whatsoever. It was honestly so bad I went to walmart to buy a pillow and sleeping bag to sleep in for the night and also bought bleach cleaner. The shower was very dirty, so I sprayed it down and the shower filled up with dirt. The carpet hadnt been vacuumed, there was hair and ramen noodles in it. When we checked out the next day the staff was annoyed that I didnt want to stay there for the full stay. I asked for a refund but no one can contact the front desk at the showboat. I couldnt have been more unsatisfied with this "hotel".

Original room smelled of urine

Our room had a really strong smell of urine. Not in the bathroom but in the bedroom. It was coming out of the carpet. We went back down to the desk and they switched our room. I asked for a later checkout and they denied me. We were there for a marathon and explained that we needed a little extra time to shower after the race. Disappointed that we could not be accommodated. Over hotel was run down. Definitely a 3 star

The rooms reeked of smoke I do not advise anyone with asthma or allergies to stay at this hotel I could not rate the water park because I did not go in . They do not have a swimming pool for adults only if you stay without kids this hotel is a kids wonderland

Almost got penalized for checking out late

The stay was great however getting carts to carry our things to our was very limited. There was only 1 cart at check in and could not find one at checkout until the last 1/2 hour until checkout.
