Smelled like cigarettes

We walked in and were greeted with the smell of cigarette smoke from someone smoking in the lobby. Our room smelled even worse of cigarette smell and a moldy smell. The towels were dirty, and all the linen had a smokey smell. We called to complain, and they were going to send up a machine to help remove the smell, but a guy showed up with some spray that just made the smell worse and advice to turn on the air to help the smell. We explained that the smoke smell was also coming out of the air system and in his broken English he said that usually works. We requested a room change, but they said we would have to leave and check in again, but we were heading out to an event and didn't have time for this. It just seemed like the hotel is content with the shape it is in and if you smoke you may have a better time than we did. We both woke up feeling the effects of sleeping in that situation and we will not return to this hotel, nor will we recommend it to anyone else. There was another couple we were there with and they had the same experience. The valet people were nice and very quick.

⭐ Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City – Extremely Disappointing Stay I stayed at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City recently, and my experience was far below expectations. I booked two non-smoking rooms that were supposed to be next to each other, but they ended up being down the hall. One of the rooms (Room 912) smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, even though it was listed as non-smoking. As someone with asthma, this was unacceptable — it’s one thing to be in a public area where people smoke, but it’s another to have to sleep in a room that smells like an ashtray. The pool area, which cost $24 plus tax per person, was also disappointing. My husband had to kill a large waterbug that was walking toward our section, and about three feet away, there was another dead waterbug that stayed there for the full three hours we were there. No staff came by to clean the area at any point — we had to report it ourselves. On top of that, the lobby floor between the conference and spa section leading toward the Gelato area had a strong smell of vomit that lingered throughout our stay. It was unpleasant and unprofessional for such a well-known hotel. Good thing I only stayed for three days, because the lack of cleanliness and attention to detail made it very difficult to enjoy the visit. Between the poor room conditions, unsanitary pool area, and unpleasant odors, this was an extremely disappointing experience. I won’t be returning and hope management takes immediate steps to improve conditions

Harrahs is Harrahs. Didn’t have any issues checking in or out. Dining was good and drinks were not watered down. The only thing I didn’t like was the super small pillows and no extra sheets/blanket was provided

It took 45 minutes to just check in because they only had 2 people working at the front lobby. The roof was leaking on the line! We went to get dinner at M&S and waited almost an hour for our main entrees.
