"Excellent location "
The hotel room was great for a refurbished hotel. I had an amazing view over the Bellagio. This is all about the location and you will be right in the middle of the action on the strip. My only criticism is the room stunk of cigarette smoke, it actually got worse as time passed like it was coming through the AC. I swear I requested non smoking.

"First class hotel close to the main part of town"
Check in was a bit ordinary with staff talking very fast and not allowing for us to understand some details as we had not stayed here before. However, once booked in the stay was very comfortable.

"nice hotel on edge of strip"
Nice hotel with great pool area. Smells of smoke when you walk into the hotel/casino but rooms didn't and they were clean. Rooms were big and beds were comfortable.

"Great place to stay"
Loved staying at this hotel/casino central location with great shops & restaurants on site. Checking in & out however, was a nightmare. When checking in it was midnight but still had to wait to be processed as there was only one person on the reception desk. When checking out we were overcharged 4 seperate times when I informed the staff member she did fix our account but not before rolling her eyes at me. Rude staff.

"Nice room but the Casino was not for me. "
The rooms were nice and the price excellent, but the fact that the casino dominates the lobby and restaurant area was not for me. Casinos have no natural light and are always noisy so it was not a relaxing place to be.

El Rancho Vegas was the Strip’s first hotel, built in 1941. In 1945, notorious mobster Bugsy Siegel came to Las Vegas and convinced his associates to invest in casinos, which led to new resorts like The Flamingo. Former Los Angeles police officer turned nightclub owner and mobster Guy McAfee is rumoured to have named the Strip after Sunset Strip in his hometown.

    Things to do

On the Strip you’ll find street performers, fancy hotels with spectacular fountains, tall buildings and streets lined with palm trees. To get a good look at it all, visit the Eiffel Tower Experience. This Eiffel Tower is half the size of the real deal and boasts an observation deck at 460 feet.

Whether you’re playing for pennies or ready to test your blackjack skills, the casinos are just as glitzy and shiny as you’d expect from Vegas. If gambling isn’t your thing, there are stacks of other options for a night out. The Strip’s nightclubs range from luxurious lounges with VIP booths, to roaring twenties-style speakeasies with burlesque dancers, to rooftop bars with great views of the Strip. You can also catch some live stand-up comedy at The Laugh Factory, or watch a live band or some martial arts at Mandalay Bay Events Centre or MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Don’t forget, The Strip is only one street. You’ve got the rest of Las Vegas to explore as well!

    Shopping and dining

At almost two million square feet and with 250 shops and restaurants, Fashion Show is one massive shopping centre. Its size is topped off by The Cloud, a large white aluminium canopy hovering 128 feet in the air.

Like everything else here, The Strip’s restaurants are extravagant! There’s a two-storey Mexican restaurant / nightclub, a three-Michelin starred restaurant with fancy French cuisine, marvellous French and Spanish food in a restaurant filled with Picasso paintings... and plenty of other choices, often with views of Las Vegas’s glittering night sky.
