Good views and vibes

It’s a great place to stay for the views and easy access to the water. It’s an older hotel but quaint it has a swimming pool and a hot tub to relax at the end of the day. It’s very close to University of Minnesota Duluth.

Our room and every room we went into(went for a family wedding) all smelled weird, dust was caked on the headboards. If you had a room by the pool, your room was musty smelling and humid. The beds were so uncomfortable we hated that we had to stay for 3 nights. Pros of this room: The water was hot in the shower, the bathroom was actually quite large For the wedding portion, the service was terrible, they did not bring out the cupcakes the bride had requested, only brought out 5 pizzas at a time, and the bar service was very slow. Given the price, I'd encourage you to stay at the Holiday Inn down the road, even if you're going for a wedding, it's not that far of a drive.

Not Great, Won't Be Back

Check-in was easy and fast. The keycards failed to unlock the room so I went back to the front desk to get new keys. The front desk person decided it would be easier to move us to a different room. The new room had a serious mildew odor, so we opened the window and went for a long walk to let it air out. Eventually the mildew smell mostly dissipated. The entire place is outdated, the beds are not very comfy, there was a bunch of smashed up goldfish crackers under one of the beds, the body wash dispenser in the shower was empty, and the hot/cold valve on the shower was installed backwards so if you put it on "cold" -- hot water would come out. The pool is good sized but doesn't have stairs, the pool area is spacious but the token machine for the video games wasn't working. The island is pretty neat, but the Inn is not.

The bathroom sink faucet was diffucult to turn off and on. Otherwise, all was good. We had a second room for family. Their sheets were dirty. They called for new sheets they were brought to the room. Her name was Valerie Bren. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay very much!

Good location on the Superior Bay, sheets on the bed were dirty so we were given a different room which was ok. Pool area was clean, but hot tub was not hot. Bar and restaurant were fine
