Old & Rundown

The first woman I spoke with was very rude. She had a negative attitude and genuinely seemed like she didn’t want to be there. I attempted to check in at 2pm. I was told one of the rooms I requested was ready but the second wasn’t. Knowing I was checking in early I said that was fine and would like access to the available room. I was then told I would have to pay extra for an early checkin. I didn’t see this in any documentation. I’m glad my room was clean and the sheets and towels were clean. This is an OLD hotel. It needs to be remodeled. The outside is off putting. There is an old musty smell in the lobby. I would not have booked this hotel if I had realized how old and uncared for it is. From the parking lot full of holes to the paint peeling and grimy windows. It does not feel welcoming.

Rooms are nice and clean

The hotel lobby was very warm which made me nervous about having A/C in our room. The hotel is under construction and you can tell from the outside windows. Our rooms were nice and clean nothing fancy. The hotel was quiet. The lady at the front desk was very rude at check in.That was my only take away with staying at the hotel

I stayed at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center this past weekend with my husband. While the room itself was clean and comfortable, the overall experience was mixed. The hotel exterior is very dated and has a dingy appearance, which was not welcoming upon arrival. The front desk staff left much to be desired. One staff member openly stated, “I’m not a people person,” which was concerning—especially in a hospitality setting. It definitely set the tone for poor customer service. We also had repeated issues with our key cards not working, which became especially frustrating when we were stuck outside the building during heavy rain. That alone was extremely inconvenient. To be fair, if you're just looking for a quick overnight stay and a cheap place to sleep on your way somewhere else, this might suffice. But as a vacation spot or long-term stay? I would not recommend it.

Bugs in bathroom, bugs crawling up walls and floors in main room. bathroom toilet kept running Cracked walls in paint in bathrooms where bug coming and going. Said we had to pay upfront and took extra $100.00 damage deposit. Hopefully will get it credited back. Very unsatisfied

Never Again

The check in was not smooth the woman working the desk had an unwelcoming attitude. She was rude as well. The keys did not work properly. The hallway smelled terrible. Once in the room the curtains were stained as was much of the furniture. I killed several insects in the bathroom as well as one that ran across the bed sheets. In addition there were scratches on the walls and there was a blood stain on the bed sheet. I would request that my money be refunded for this stay.

When I complained about a hundred ants/termites in my bedroom, not much of a reaction. I asked for my checkout printed on paper, they refused. Stated I’ll need to contact Expedia.

If you are a female, just don’t. I have stayed in sketchy hotels before, this one was the first ever to regret choosing this location. I was only visiting LI for 12h and needed somewhere to sleep. I think all would have been fine if it wasn't so vacant, the cellular was blocked and wifi was ‘not working’. There was 0 way for me to contact anyone had i needed to which made me feel so unsafe. I was also right next to the janitor room i believe and someone was in/ out constantly which is fine but i always sounded like someone was entering my room. When i arrived the sink was running full blast, looks like someone just got out of the shower & the toilet did not work. Also the AC was not working I normally have it set for 70 but it was so hot i dropped it to 68, then 66 and it still felt like it was mid 70s. I barely slept. Will not return.

Wonderful stay. Only small issue was the water went from hot to cold in a matter of minutes. By my last night it was hot for the whole shower so I think the problem has been fixed. Just my luck it wasn’t fixed before my stay.
