Save your money

The first eye sore was a leaky spot in the ceiling in the loft. First day was a bucket then the next day was a trash can. It was right in the way of the hallway to the elevators by the bar. The rooms were clean, however we had issues with the AC unit in room 607. We spent quite a bit for 2 rooms (607 & 609) from Friday to Sunday. The room continuously stayed hot. We turned the unit all the way down to 60 at some point to get it at least comfortable in the room but it was miserable, especially at night. Asking the front desk, my husband was told "someone can come check but honestly a lot of them are just old". During the day it seemed to work, but at night it didnt. The other room worked fine but once we closed the door, ours would get muggy almost instantly. The first night after a long day walking around Chapel Hill, we wanted to relax in the pool. Terrible idea. The room entering the pool was so stuffy and it looked run down. Rusted poles and handicap lift was definitely an issue for us. We tried the pool still giving it the benefit of the doubt and not wanting to disappoint the kids, but about 5 minutes in, the kids were ready to leave and everyone was uncomfortable. The water had a strong salt taste/feel when the kids tried to go under and instantly dried out their skin. We went back upstairs to wash off. Realizing I left my shower essentials behind, I was disappointed that the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner was all "mens". Not to mention room 609's were empty.

There was a leak in the hotel lobby which didn’t get fixed during our 2-day stay. Then our bathroom had a ceiling leak and we had to move rooms. No one apologized for the inconvenience and in fact when we asked for fresh towels they said they couldn’t guarantee that.

We have small kids and were placed at the elevator and ice machine. At 11pm a college team came into the hotel and were slamming doors, running the hallways, and filling up ice buckets. Would have just been nice to be away from all the inconsiderate young kids coming in late at night
