First time staying at a Wyndham outside the US. The location was not desirable; it’s in a commercial area. Very loud when we weary trying to enjoy sitting on the balcony and up to after 10pm. We asked for alcohol to be removed from the room prior to arrival by emailing the property and got a confirmation response. We still received alcohol that was stocked in the mini fridge. It happened three times, then after we advised the concierge to stock it with Coke, Sprite & water, we didn’t get any more until we called every day. The main complaint is that we were invited to this “pyramid” scheme to buy into a program. This happened once before at another location. It started when we first checked in. A sit down meeting with whom i presumed was the concierge. He offered a discount on spa treatments, a resort credit etc… he talked us in to meet for breakfast the second day. We did agree, however when we met in the lobby the day after check-in, we cancelled. The harassment began after that. Every time we saw him, he tried to talk us in to going to this program to buy in to. I continued to say NO, but he insisted on approached us every time he saw us, right up to our last day. I would not recommend this hotel (I say that because it did not really meet the criteria for a resort) to anyone. The housekeeping staff were excellent, as well as the one restaurant on site for breakfast, lunch & dinner. I can certainly rate the barista at the coffee shop. Mariana needs recognition she’s great

This all-inclusive provided nightly entertainment, plenty of activities and great food. Most importantly to me was the fact they gave me gluten free options everywhere we went on property. They also asked if we had any allergies before each meal.

Hotel room was very spacious with a big bathroom and lots of storage in the closet. There is a safe. Every staff member was friendly. Service was exceptional at the pool, breakfast buffet and Italian restaurant. (We ate offsite other meals). The food was probably the best we’ve had at any AI resort and we’ve been to probably 100. The main pool was nice but deep. (5 feet or so) The pool deck gets extremely hot and the steps getting out of pool (the hand rails) are boiling even early morning. I’d recommend getting covers for them like we have in our pool in Florida. There was no “towel game” here - we could get pool seats any time of day. Pool entertainment wasn’t anything special and the ‘crazy games’ , tossing a football, not crazy at all. Foam party was great. Nightly entertainment varied. It seemed ok but we usually went out. The beach was pretty much non-existent except for a small patch but even there you’d need to wade thru seaweed to get into the water. This is not the hotel’s fault but I’m mentioning it because if you want a beach vacation you won’t get it here. We knew that coming in but for the price and close proximity to Avenida Quinta we were fine with it. Location is great. Plenty of shops, rests and bars right out the door but the food at hotel is great so you definitely don’t need to leave for good food. You can come to this hotel, eat and drink and be entertained all day at the pool and never leave the resort. Great value for the money. Nicest staff.

Just left Alltra. What a beautiful hotel. I loved all of the architecture and the grounds are very clean. We upgraded to an ocean view with a nice big balcony. The room is really pretty and very clean. The bathroom was very nice and a great shower. Hot and lots of pressure. The foam party was so much fun. The pool was the cleanest pool I’ve ever seen at an all inclusive resort. The service at all restaurants/bars/pool was excellent. The location is perfect. 2 blocks off 5th Avenue. The small beach was nice and cute bar on the beach. We had to search for it at first but once we found it, it was great. Roof top pool also. We didn’t get in. I would definitely recommend this hotel as it is perfect. My only complaint was the guacamole was made with oil. Who puts oil in guacamole?? Apparently people do that in Playa at a few restaurants. We just asked for no oil. Enjoy Alltra
