To start off the front staff greeted us with a welcoming smile and wete pleasant. The guest services lady at the front made checking in easy. We were located close to the pool which was nice but was a little bit off a walk to the buffet. This is where i feel the resort can do better on as food was often very bland or overcooked because of sitting in the heat lamp for too long. Waut staff in the buffet aint always nice resulting in us feeling like we were a bother whether getting food or drinks. This trip was for my birthday, so one thing the resort did was we were greeted by cake (with happy birthday and a bottle of wine as a welcoming gesture.) Now, i know all guest have paid quite a bit of money f9r a good time at an adults only reaort but one thing to mention was they had ahut down music right at 12:00 am just when some peope have atated to enjoy the vibe. Adult resort felt more like family resort with the this curfew oh getting the signal nights over. I have been to numerous resorts and this wasnt a thing at an adults only resort, also to mentioned that near the pool area there was a pizza making station but was only 11am to 5pm and the mexican restaurant 5-6pm to 10pm. Im compliant was that in order to get a late night snack you literially had to walk from the pool/beach front area to the main lobby to go to the sports bar. I feel this they could improve on as most resorts will have a late night snack bar near the pool area. My birthday was not great due the lack

Resort was good and clean. Buffet was not that great not many options always same food and left overs. They would run out of items fast. Was Hard to make reservations at restaurants but once able to make it food was good just small portions. But service was not good in any restaurants. It always was like they were avoiding to make eye contact with you so you don’t ask them for anything. Even tho we always tipped from host to busser and server. Staff was not very friendly especially at check in area. Ana who checked us in was rude unprofessional and didn’t explain much about the resort. That first impression she killed it all for us. Leticia who cleaned our room everyday was excellent and super friendly. Overall was ok definitely not 5 star resort.

We’ve now been to Ocean Maya Royale twice this year, first in March and then again in June, and both visits were absolutely fantastic. What makes this resort truly special is the people. The entertainment staff go above and beyond to make sure guests are having fun. A special shoutout to Kenddall, who is a true ray of sunshine. His energy and warmth made us feel so welcome. He’s honestly one of the big reasons we came back for a second visit. Moises and Viri were also incredible and kept the fun going throughout our stay. The food was another highlight. From the tacos at the Mexican restaurant to the fresh pizzas made in the outdoor oven and the delicious ice cream bar, we loved every bite. The buffet and à la carte options were always great. We already miss the food! The resort grounds and rooms were spotless, and the whole place has a relaxed, easy-to-enjoy vibe while still offering plenty of activities. Whether you're up for pool games, live shows, or just relaxing by the beach, there's always something going on. The bartenders really know how to make a great drink, and if you’re a coffee lover, Mike’s Café has you covered with yummy options. A big thank you to Gabriella at the front desk. She always made sure we were happy and even helped recover my daughter’s lost camera. Her care & attention meant so much to us. We can’t recommend this resort enough. If you’re looking for a smaller, friendly resort packed with fun, amazing food, fantastic staff, this is the place!

Ocean Maya Royale was a great place to stay, however there was an issue upon arriving. We had three rooms booked for my group. They gave two room numbers correct and the third one, when my friend went to her room, there were already people in there so it was an inconvenience. The staff mentioned when checking in that we are allowed to call the golf cart when going from our room to a destination within the resort as it is included in our all inclusive package. However when we started requesting the golf cart at certain times, the drivers would say to walk and not call anymore. We would continuously call the room service for towels or robes and sometimes they wouldn’t come clean unless we called because they forgot. Food is OK, it’s eatable not the best. Resort is just a normal resort, not anything crazy if you are a party person 😂.

Everything about this place is AWESOME, would recommend 100%. If you come during seaweed season you will not be swimming but the pool is lovely so no big deal. Find a cenote to swim in instead! Big piece of advice, do NOT go anywhere near the gift shop. The are actively trying to overcharge and scam for fake and knock off merchandise. I was told returns were allowed and when I came to return a ring that was rusting after a single day I was told to go f myself. I had the silver tested when I got home and it is not silver. Not sure why such a lovely resort allowed grifters to work in their lobby.

The facility and food were amazing! The staff were so friendly, knowledgeable, kind and helpful as well. Our room was nice and clean. It was definitely worth the upgrade of rooms to the Privilege side of the resort. The ONLY thing we were unhappy with was the huge amounts of sargassum seaweed on the beaches and the smell it created. The resort was doing they best they could to control it, but it’s amounts were excessive and I’m not sure there was more they could do. Just disappointing for a beach vacation.

This was definitely a good resort to book. It was on the cheaper side but didn’t seem like it at all once you were there. The experience team including Kendall and Susana made the trip extra special. They worked hard to keep the vibe up all day and were hilarious. The shows in the evening were great, especially their elements show - it was like cirque du soleil on the resort. I liked that the a la carte restaurants were unlimited. It being adults only was also an amazing feature as the experience team could be more open and make better jokes. The few things that stood out to us; they ran out of towels quite early on during the day, like noon. so if you go out on an excursion and then want to do an evening swim, there definitely won’t be any clean towels to grab from. We also had pretty bad service in the sports bar. we would come in and have the servers ignore us for quite a while before coming and getting our order. And the most surprising of all is that their mexican restaurant El Charro was the worst restaurant they had on site - for lunch and for dinner it wasn’t great.

Recently stayed at Ocean Maya Royale, and I was really impressed. Great mix of relaxation and fun, with two pools, good food options, and a friendly, laid-back atmosphere. Clean, well-kept, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Overall, it was a great getaway and I’d absolutely go back.

I really enjoyed the layout of the property and the activities at the pools. Every staff member was very respectful and helpful. The only negative thing I have to say is the food wasn’t very flavorful and tasted very bland. I would absolutely return!
