Well it was our second time there, and just like before my wife and I absolutely love this hotel. How it's integrated with the jungle, the animals, the Mayan ruins without harming nature, while giving the hotel natural beauty. All the pools, the mini beach, the restaurants are great!

The staff were fantastic. As soon as I pointed out that I couldn't see out our window because of months of buildup of monkey poo they cleaned it. The room was very strong with a mildew smell but you couldn't keep your porch door open because the monkeys will enter. Our suitcases still smell of mildew 2 months later. Not the end of the world. We had a cold week which is no one's fault but no one was swimming in the pool as it isn't heated like others I have seen in Mexico. Bathroom was gross, no one properly scrubs. Had to wear water shoes in shower. Had to have garbage can replaced due to buildup of gunk all over it. This sounds bad but the scenery and lovely staff really helped. Would I go back? no, way better places to stay but lovely place.

Food was absolutely atrocious. Completely bland and cold, buffet was the same every day and à la carte restaurants were tasteless. Entertainment was for children, the resort is full of children. Completely family oriented only. I also got scammed by the staff and lied to. The rooms did not have any alcohol in the refrigerator. There was only 2 or 4 beer which was restocked every 2 days

Overall, my stay was disappointing. The biggest issue for me was how I felt during the trip. As a Hispanic guest, the environment felt different in a way that made me uncomfortable at times, and it impacted how much I was able to enjoy the experience. The staff were mostly helpful and polite, which I appreciated, but there were several consistent frustrations. No one seemed to have change for cash at any point, which made tipping and small purchases inconvenient. The room also had issues, the water never really got hot, and the heater didn’t seem to work (if there was one at all). Food was another letdown. I’m not a picky eater, but most options were underwhelming and didn’t meet expectations for an all-inclusive resort at this price point. For someone in their 20s, I wouldn’t recommend this resort. It may work better for a different type of traveler, but the overall experience didn’t match what I was hoping for.

The resort was very nice overall, big layout, lots of amenities, lots of pools, nature and having the excursions nearby definitely made it a good enough stay. Staff I feel like there was a handful of nice ones. However, at the front desk we were disappointed with the initial service as it felt like they were just rushing us. However they did accommodate to our request the very next day and resolved the issue and that was much appreciated. One staff did make our trip 100x better, Sergio Alcantara himself was 5/5 star rating. He helped us with anything and everything we needed and was quick with it too. He was always super nice & friendly, welcoming and very positive whenever he saw us, would give us recommendations, guide us if needed and just overall was doing above and beyond for us. The food however could use improvements or hygienic problems, 3/6 guests that I brought had food poisoning.
