It appeared their were people living at the motel, many hanging around the property on the balcony late talking loud, smoking pot. I did not feel safe and lobby locked at 10. This requires you to walk up the alley to the stairs to get to your room. The phone in the room did not work to call the lobby anyway. There was a door between my room and next store. Very flimsy door with a deadbolt that didn't fit well into the latch. I would not recommend staying here if you are by yourself or female.

Ocala stay

The room was not clean on our arrival. The front desk was notified and nothing was done to correct the problem. Also, there was no trash can in the room. Other than that it was a pleasant stay in a nice older location.

We came to check in and was told room may be ready 30min after check in. We had just traveled 9 hours. Finally, they moved us to another room after stating there would be an up charge that didn’t happen when I said I’d pay for it. We got to our room and the room right next to ours had the door wide open and a man on his back in his underwear laying on the bed (I have my little girl with me) Then, there were several groups of men right outside our window sitting on the tailgates of trucks talk extremely loud for hours.

Bare basic hotel

You get what you pay for. This is a basic “no frills “ hotel. There is no refrigerator, microwave, or hairdryer in the room and if someone stands outside your room talking, it sounds like they are in your room. Front desk clerk, JP was extremely helpful in directions and suggestions on where to eat.
