This is a motel, with exterior room access, not a hotel, so adjust your expectations accordingly. I'd say it's a good value. The facility is pretty nice, rooms and clean and updated. But there's one serious issue: the Mitsubishi Electric HVAC wall unit, hung on the wall near the ceiling, automatically adjusts its vanes to direct heated/cooled air directly at the bed, and there's no way to redirect it except to build a barrier by piling up pillows. The heat blast during my stay was unbearable otherwise. Breakfast is passable, not great.

This is a beautifully remodeled motel, with everything in the rooms contemporary and spotlessly clean. We appreciated the warm welcome, the tile flooring in the bedroom (as opposed to questionably cleaned carpet in most hotels), and a good breakfast.

Check in was fast, the front desk person did not want to be bothered. I think the same person checked me out, told me to leave the cards, when asked for the printed receipt she seemed to be bothered she had to get up from a couch. Easy and free parking. Well lit area in the front. The room was nice and clean. Bathroom was OK, not much pressure on the shower. Very comfortable bed. There is a small microwave and fridge. Tiny gym, I did not use it. Major issue was the noise. It is like an old motel, I was on the pool side and people were talking loudly until late (though there is "quite time") and that was very annoying.

I discovered roaches in my room in the middle of the night. when I called down to the desk about it, they said they did not have another room for me and I would have to wait for the morning in order for them to call the owner to approve a refund when I checked out at 6:45 AM they still have not called the owner and when I called them at 11:00 AM, they said the owner would not honor a refund because I did not check out immediately. I have pictures and I will be contacting the Florida commission on hotels and inspections to follow up.

The room was lovely; the front desk staff was very friendly. The only issue was the loud group outside (we were by the pool); however, that ended at an appropriate time (around 10pm). Overall, great experience and if I'm ever back in Ocala I will definitely be staying here.
