Great place to stay in Monterey

I enjoyed the spa and the grounds were nice. Only thing I didn't like is the restaurant on the golf course charges an automatic gratuity and I didnt notice and tipped again so I gave like a 40% tip by mistake and then the coffee ran out and noone refilled it for the next 45mins til I had to leave after I told them and waiting a while and thought they got it started but then 30mins later went back in and asked if the coffee was ready yet and they hadn't even put a new pot on so I went about my day and went back the next day and told the manager and they gave me a free cup the next day so at least they kind of made up for the inconvenience on day 1. The hotels.com charges and what they try to charge at checkout are a lot different where youll end up paying for a resort fee and parking per night too which was unexpected and I complained so they ended up matching the hotels.com price to make up for it so I was glad that although I had a few issues, ultimately they did help and fix them for me unlike a lot of other places. Would def return again.

They are charging luxury prices but fail to deliver luxury experience. Extremely poor soundproofing (you can hear neighbors walking and floorboards creaking), quite old building and bathrooms with doors that don't close properly. So don't expect any privacy whatsoever. No ventilation either. The mandatory $20 daily parking fee feels like a hidden charge, especially since there are no alternative parking options nearby. There is a bunch of other hidden fees in the final bill. The heated pool requires a 50-yard walk outdoors, which is inconvenient in cold weather. Hot tub was too small and always overcrowded. Absolutely not worth the price they're charging.

I've stayed at this Hyatt numerous times, and it's always great until this visit. We heard our upstairs neighbor talking very loudly through the bathroom vent which was odd. I also take issue with the $20 daily parking fee + tax. There's no other parking areas nearby so you're stuck with it. pretty disappointing

A lot of kids running around for a Golf resort. Not the Resort fault just not what I was expecting. Someone pulled a fire alarm one of the nights and evacuated all the rooms, room bathroom has no counter space at all wife wasn’t happy about that. I like staying at Hyatts but this one I have to say I wasn’t impressed

Room was not the standing I’d expect from Hyatt, plus our next door neighbor was very loud at 11pm - that combined with super thin walls was not a recipe for a relaxing staycation. Wasn’t terrible either but def had better times.

We arrived at 3:50pm to check at 4 pm in the afternoon, which seems kinda late but whatever. We then come to find out are room isn’t ready, my poor wife that has a chronic illness has to wait an additional hour in my car, just to get into are room that wasn’t ready until 5pm. Ok, moving on , then tired to make a reservation at the spa nothing available, then tried to make a reservation for dinner not able. Then come to find out they only have breakfast room service. So, I can’t order anything for my wife for dinner . I guess, no room service for dinner and no way to get ahold of anyone in the hotel. Besides that after spending $1000 dollars for 2 night stay. The hotel then charged us an additional $124 dollars for parking and resort fee. Seems like they really don’t know how to treat paying customer at this so called spa that we weren’t able to even use.
