The Rio has definitely gotten much better in the past couple years, I believe the Hyatt runs it now and it’s much better than it was,

It was so bad. Walking into the lobby you're hit with a horrible smell of smoke. Note: not just a hint, but a wall of cigarette smoke odor. I waited in line for over 45 min to get checked in and waited at the counter for another 45 min. for them to find a room for me - at 9PM at night. They stated they were looking for a clean room.. Lights in the room had bulbs burnt out or simply didn't work. Not just one or two bulbs, most of them. Water pressure was nonexistent. Broken shower door handle – barely hanging on by a thread of a little screw. In room dinning app didn’t work and the food / restaurants they did offer was awful. Rio used to be such a great place, what happened to you. This is supposed to be a fun place to have fun, not the last resort of a desperate attempt to keep your doors open. WOW.. what a dump.

It’s close to almost everything. Has a lot of food options, walkable area with free parking. Kiosks didn’t work so you had to still stand in line to do check in and check out. Only bad thing was that my room was cleaned once in five days and we had no hot water for three out of 5 days that we stayed.

Throughout my stay I kept complaining to the AI system above lack of hot water and they did nothing. Also I am not a gambler so when I asked the floor manager at the craps table to help me understand the game he was very rude. Overall I will never go back and let my friends know about this. Terrible hotel

Well it was ok loved the price However when request for room service to clean the room and change the sheets they didn’t they just dropped stuff off I asked a random maid if she could help after doing so they left our door unlocked for hrs we didn’t make it back to our room till 4 am so imagine this happened the day prior we left the room at 4 pm

The hotel is nice, but we stayed 4 nights and our room was never cleaned. We spoke with the cleaning lady and she said she had reported it, but still no one came to clean, change the towels, or anything. We went downstairs and spoke with someone from the hotel, and they told us that if we don’t specifically request cleaning, they don’t do it. The staff member was not friendly, maybe even rude, when we asked if that meant they don’t clean the rooms normally. His answer was, “What did I just say?” — a very bad experience for us. We also went to the pool, but the umbrellas could only be used if you paid extra. As for the location, if you want to walk to the Strip, you have to go through a very deserted area. At night it felt unsafe because it was empty, dirty, and there were people sleeping on the bridge.

Gym is a little bit small, can be crowded; it is also quite warm, I've never sweated that much in a hotel gym. Rooms: bad insulation, you hear neighbors and doors slammed when closed.
