One of the original classics in old Vegas. Lots of neat antiques and vintage stained glass windows that have sadly been blocked by slot machines. There is a printed guide to search for all the historic items throughout the building, which was fun . Non-smoking floor was great, but all main areas incredibly smoky. Parking is easy and included. Massive tent city less than a block from the hotel, so not safest area to wander alone at night. Front desk and concierge staff all very friendly and helpful. Much friendlier and less pretentious feel than other Vegas hotels we have stayed at on the strip in past. Triple 7 Brewery food was reasonably priced, with good beers and excellent staff.

I asked for a waiver on the resort fees bc the pool was too cold to swim. We ran out of toilet paper. Maids did not clean our room. Desk and casino staff were not friendly. Once outside we were immediately approach by homeless folks. We did have a great view from the room. The room was bigger and nicer than I expected.

Buffet was not open all week we were there. And the other restaurant closed at 9 p.m. Ridiculous! Drink prices were very high.

Good value for the downtown area. Rooms are clean, fairly large, with good ADA accessible showers. Wi-fi is reasonably fast, with faster options available at a fee. No frills (no coffee maker), but for the price level a good option if your looking to stay downtown. Much more quiet than the Freemont hotels.

Spacious and clean room

Went for a quick 2-night trip with my sister in law. Shared a spacious room. Very clean. Refrigerator in room. Great water pressure in the shower. All hotel stuff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful.

Request a room across the hall from the highway

My sister and I stayed 3 nights. We arrived on my birthday which we mentioned to the night clerk who did not acknowledge it and simply asked to see my ID to complete the check in. The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. We were given a room that faced the highway on the 8th floor (view from the window attached). The noise from the highway was so loud, I got out of bed at one point to check if any of the windows had been left open (the windows don't open). The traffic never stops. We didn't sleep at all that night and were promptly moved to a room on the other side of the hall the next morning which was infinitely quieter. The hotel itself is beautiful with it's original features intact and antiques. It has a lot of old-world charm. It is central, just a short walk from Fremont Street. We both recommend this hotel but strongly advise requesting a room away from the highway.

Overall very good.

Room was comfortable and clean. The only negative is you have to walk through the smoke filled casino to get to the restaurants.

We really liked the warm old vintage feel. The location is fantastic. Easy walk to Fremont Street and other areas for activity and still quiet enough for resting. We had two issues 1) The shutter blinds in room kept falling and lights filtered in at night and sun in morning- different or additional blinds would fix that 2) the ventilation system needs upgraded in casino/restaurant area. Would stay here again.

The staff were amazing. The room was quiet and clean. Loved the fact that it was 3 minutes walk to the Fermont street with a lot of events at night. The only downside was that the room did not have a coffee maker. So if you wanted coffee, you had to walk for a few minutes to get something decent.
