Sandy Dreams Vaca

The property was not properly cleaned before we checked in. (Only one cleaner for a 9 bedroom 3 story house between a prior 10am check-out and our 4pm check-in). Safety issues; metal balcony stiles and rails rusted partially through, no batteries in smoke detectors, toilet pedestal cracked and potential for injury to a guest if it failed. Biggest Problem was deferred maintenance. a) 1st Floor Cook top cracked, b) Ceiling fans with broken blades some inoperable, c) Balcony door with glass cracked and taped-up, d) Broken floor tiles, e) Numerous shower rods, TP rollers and towel rods were broken or missing, f) Cracked granite on kitchen back splash. Most of the issues could be corrected with a handyman and a deep cleaning crew for a day. The place would be truly lovely with the work completed. We just did not want lose that one day of our stay to have the people in on our time. Even with issues we enjoyed our stay

Excellent beachy vibes

Fantastic location. The beach was perfect, not too crowded and not too empty. There was tons of wildlife - fish, dolphins, sea shells. The house was cozy and spacious that allowed room for privacy or socializing when wanted. Management was responsive to our messages and concerns and addressed them quickly. Overall, excellent experience!

The location of the property is ideal! It is nice being walking distance to the beach and having the pool to come back to and relax in. It could use some love on the inside of the property as well as the bar area to improve the overall feel of the home. The cleaning service didn’t do a great job before our entry. We found chips under furniture, in dresser drawers, sand in master beds and on floors, and the bar area outside was very dirty. We cleaned the best we could but the sink area is not something we could use because it was still very dirty. The outdoor shower area to rinse off in did not work. Our floor that my family and I stayed on (floor 1) was not accessible when we got there. We waited at least 20 minutes before a code was generated to give us access to where we were going to stay. All that to say, we did enjoy the stay, just seems like some things were rushed when it comes to cleanliness.

Family reunion/vacation

Location, location, location!!! We had family members from four different households stay here for a week and being right on the beach was amazing!! The weather was warm and sunny so we could walk back and forth easily from the beach to the pool or sit on one of the two porches to enjoy the views of the ocean. That makes the house for sure!! We had 14 people with us snd there was more than enough room and supplies! The layout of the house is a little different as the two floors are completely separate and there is no way to contact people on the second floor without calling them on the phone but no one minded in our group. There were a few things that need to be repaired/replaced but we contacted maintenance right away and they came out to take a look. Nothing was replaced while we were there but it wasn’t anything too major so we were fine. The house does need a good handyman to spend a few days there then it’ll be perfect! The pool is small but cute and clean - all you need really. We had an older woman with us so the shade and pool furniture by the pool was perfect for her! I’m not sure I’d call that area a “tiki bar” but we definitely enjoyed hanging out by the pool everyday!! Overall, we had a great week and enjoyed the spot!!
