"Nice hotel, quiet end of town."
As most others have reported, the room did seem to have a strange smell but we didn't find it offensive or bothersome. Located in a nice quiet end of the city and within easy walking distance to the wharf restaurants, swimming area and wave pool. Room was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Kitchenette and washing machine is a great bonus. We found it good value and comfortable.

"Great location in Darwin."
My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Palms City Resort in March. The location of the resort is ideal as you are very close to Mitchell St which has everything you might want in it. You can walk to the waterfront if you like, however if you are wanting to go to the Casino or Museums you might want to drive. We arrived on a late flight and had booked a garden bungalow. Check in staff were very friendly. Our bungalow was beside the pool which was great. It was very clean and made up each day. It was small, just enough room for the bed and amenities however the bathroom was a good size. We didn't eat at the restaurant so I'm not sure about that. Parking is an issue. There is very limited onsite parking. You are able to park directly across the road from the resort (if there are parks available) however metered parking begins at 8.00am on weekdays. We were only able to get a park on 1 day and this was in the quiet season. Overall we had a great few days at Palms City and would not hesitate to return.

"Lovely hotel at Darwin Waterfront"
Ovetall, we were happy with our stay at the Vibe Hotel Darwin Waterfront. The location was ideal, with a shady park, swimming areas, shops and excellent restaurants close by. Only a 15 minute walk into Darwin Central and to the main wharf. The hotel had excellent facilities and we were pleased with the quick response from reception when we requested a room change. (The view from our first room was partially blocked by a wall.) The only suggestion we would make is to improve service at breakfast. The coffee machine ran out of water. Items on the breakfast bar were not kept topped up and the young staff did not clear tables in a timely manner. Easy to correct, though.
