Older property needs a bit of TLC. Hot water wasn't working when we left our room at 10pm to go to the airport. Great reception staff. Excellent RSL type restaurant attached. Good pool and outdoor bar area. Outdoor band was excellent except its noisy in the rooms while playing.

The jack hammering from nearby construction started at 7.30am so we were unable to sleep in and had arrived at the hotel at 3.00am. That morning. An offer to assist with our lugguage up the stairwell would have been very helpful but wasn't fortcoming.

Location was great, nice having live music each afternoon, happy hour was great, pool was nice. Our first night was disappointing as we arrived at midnight and our expensive room had not been serviced and we were given a very substandard room for the night until the next day. There was no reimbursement or gesture of goodwill in regards to this. Instead we received the reply welcome to Darwin. We were glad to be able to have our expensive nice room for the rest of our time in Darwin.

Pros: very central, walk to dining options, woolworths, pharmacy & other shopping areas, hop on/off bus, good food & bar, iron & full size fridge. Cons: VERY LOUD (you will need ear plugs) the rooms are close to the bar which in my experience had 2 nights of live music. The room I was in also backed onto an alley which meant truck/vehicle noise.
