We were so happy with our stay in the Villa! The apartment was really cute. Our host went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed- candy bowl, snacks, a rack filled with Keurig pods. Lots of towels/washcloths. Very tastefully decorated. Each morning my husband & I would have breakfast in the little nook overlooking the street. The neighborhood is very walkable, safe and filled with beautiful architecture. Rush hospital is well within walking distance. Taylor Street has a lot of food options & has a courtyard commemorating “ Little Italy”. A beautiful home in a beautiful place. We would definitely stay again!

There were many nice things about this stay. So many towels, including wash cloths. Towel racks in our bedroom also. Very convenient. An well-stocked candy jar. There's a mirror in every room, and that's the kind of thing you don't really notice unless there's a shortage and you're crowding around one mirror before a night out. The off-street parking was temporarily unavailable so our host had daily street parking permits waiting for us. Here's a nice touch: each of the the bedrooms has a lock/key that matches the exterior lock. So everybody has a key to the place. No need to share or keep track. Nice neighborhood, too. The family-owned Thai restaurant, one block away, was a treat! And there's a 7-11 on that same block. Very convenient. There's a Jewel/Osco that's walkable too. This host is a pro. Communication was prompt and friendly. Look no further.

This was a perfect location with great proximity to evrything we did, exactly the space we needed for our group size and enough space for hanging out at the end of busy days to talk and play games. John is such a conscientious host with thoughtful little touches like extention cords on every bedside table, fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms. He had super fast and clear communications - so easy to work with. Our family would definitely use this rental to meet up again.

We used John's place as our home base while in town for a trade show. We really appreciated the ample living space and the open concept kitchen, dining, and living space that allowed for easy communication and family time no matter if you were in the kitchen or living room. Our family really appreciated the comfortable and spacious bedrooms and the 2 full bathrooms. We have previously stayed in one of John's other listings and when we knew we were coming back to Chicago, we intentionally sought out another stay at one of John's listings as we knew it was in a great area that is walkable to so many great restaurants, has easy access to the highway to get where ever you need to be, but most of all that it felt like a home away from home where we would relax and unwind after a long day. If available, we'll always choose one of John's properties when we're in Chicago!

We were extremely pleased with this place and this host from the time we booked until the time we checked out. The home is beautiful and very clean. We love the little extras especially the candy bowl! The neighborhood is quiet. Many restaurants and taverns within walking distance from this location. It was easy to uber to any downtown attraction. It was the perfect stay for our long week away with family for a wedding.

Ex-Chicago family back in town for a wedding. What a great traditional Chicago-style home! Very well-equipped, comfortable for six adults. We were very happy with the stay overall…only two comments as FYI….As we were in F1 on first floor….No.1 Consider posting “quiet hours” for above units…folks arrived at unit F2 about 10pm & were loud into wee hours; ran laundry, TV & dropping/flopping suitcases around. Get that travel times are variable, but a posted reminder about “Quiet hours” would be good for upper floors. My build at home has in lease “Nothing before 8am and nothing after 10:30”…No.2 The washer’sz detergent drawer was super mildewed & we had scrubbed before using washer. Frontload washers can be tricky to keep dry, maybe add checking that drawer to cleaning check list….Otherwise we all said we’d come back again & recommend the Little Greystone Thanks again!

This was the best little house that we have ever stayed in. We just love the character in this home. It was a nice distance from downtown but not too far out Ubers only cost us between 13 and 18. To Go we was very well pleased and we will be coming back.
