It’s a little disappointing that this hotel doesn’t serve breakfast, but other than that we really can’t complain. The facilities were very clean and comfortable. The location can’t be better. On one side are train stations allowing us to get everywhere we need to go without cars. On the other side is Grant Park and Lake Michigan with spectacular scenery, perfect for a morning run. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had to make a change in our reservation at the last minute and they handled it all seamlessly. We will absolutely stay here again next time we are in Chicago.

Great value, all the basics

This hotel is a great value in a stellar location. It is small and historic no frills, very clean with good mattresses. In the heat of the summer, AC was adequate, but not perfect. However, we managed just fine! Transit access and many food options nearby. No fridge, coffee nor microwave in rooms. If you want to spend your money on adventures and not hotel, it’s the best place. Staff is friendly and helpful.

This property is an excellent value, and has great proximity to the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Field Museum and the Museum Concourse. It is also well situated for public transportation, and is in a very safe and walkable part of downtown. It is also very close to Buckingham Fountain and Millennium Park, as well as many historic buildings of great architectural interest. And we have always found the staff to be very friendly, kind, and efficient.

When you’re a person from another culture or “life experience is different” when you reed “self park” is understood that you the traveler will park the vehicle like NO Valet or something similar, in no sense it says or means that there’s no parking spaces available. Please update “self park” to no parking available for Hotel guests. A parking lot in front of your Hotel area doesn’t mean is “yours” to say: “you have parking” Also, when I checked in the person who represented de Hotel at that moment was acting “childish” and in no way was a proper and professional greeting.

Good stay. Great location

My son and I stayed in a king studio suite. Nice view of Willis (Sears) Tower. Building is older, but place was clean and pretty well run. Shout out to Arturo if I remember correctly, for setting up an umbrella during a rainstorm. Location is good, near Harrison red line stop. It was August, so lots of European tourists staying here. I spoke German, French, Spanish, and Italian with fellow elevator passengers. Fridge and microwave in suite went a long way for us.

In this day and age hold bars in the shower are essential. It's irresponsible not to have them. A towel holder would be nice as well. Otherwise, I had no problems and a very good stay.
