Fantastic resort. We went with three families for a combined total of six adults and eight kids ranging from 6 to 13. The water is super calm and the beach has nice white sand. The staff are all super friendly and attentive. Lots of people who have time shares for like 30 years. Not a lot of places to eat but the food is great and we never got sick of it. You can swim in the pool until 10pm and the swim up bar is open until 930. Great time. The resort essentially shuts down at 10pm. I thought that would be a problem for night time entertainment but it wasn't an issue. The rooms are large enough that we could comfortably fit all three families into one and hang out. Room service is 24 hours so that's nice. You also get access to the Royal Sands so if you want the busier resort vibe for a day or two you can just shuttle there for free. Carlos, our concierge was fantastic. Went above and beyond. Honestly, it was a fantastic resort. Oh. One interesting thing is there were no mobs of birds. Resorts literally next door had birds all over stealing food and being annoying. Not this one. It was nice.

We just back from vacations and the Royal Cancun place exceed our expectations! We love our space where we stayed and easy access to the swimming pool from the ground floor. Food was great and the resort was perfect for families with kids. My girls enjoyed pool a lot and also the wonderful people are working there like Vera ( the front desk), Corina ( kids club) and Manuel ( one of the afternoon server), it just few of them who we have built conversations but overall our staying was incredible and we would to come back for our next vacations to this property again even though they have a lot of choices of resorts around. We had a fantastic time. The staff was wonderful. We never felt not taken care of. The food was good. Not fancy but, it was just fine. If you want night life, this is not the place. It shuts down at 10pm. This is one of the cleanest places I have ever been. They were so friendly and greeted us every time we saw them.

Actual property was wonderful. Our condo was perfect. Clean, comfortable, conveniently located, great view. Housekeeping was fantastic. The food options on the resort are terrible. We did the all inclusive, but I would not recommend it. The resort advertises multiple restaurants but there is really only two, with one of them being the main place. All of the food and drinks were off. Breakfast consisted of a cafeteria style buffet with poor quality food, lunch and dinner weren't much better. The Pina Colada's didn't taste good. I got the impression the bartenders and food servers didn't care for their jobs.

The staff was very nice and hardworking. They are very kind, helpful. They were genuinely concerned for our safety and coordinated with transportation. Leticia Laura the concierge was very helpful in setting up our tours and making our stay comfortable. The food was okay. The breakfast buffet was nice. Mainly Mexican, American, Asian cuisines. I wish there was more variety and the menus were limited. Our room was very nice and spacious. We had access to the other resort Royal Sands, which has bigger pools and the beach at Royal Sands was prettier. The only annoying thing was the timeshare presentation for 1 and 1/2 hour, but we got through it and got 2 free tours one to Chichén Itzá and a taco tour where we ate unlimited tacos for an hour. If you say no and are willing to sit through the presentation and handle high pressure sales tactics, then it might be worth it.

We had such a wonderful stay with our family of 6 this winter! The family villa had plenty of room for all of us to be comfortable. It was very clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back. The pools were great and the beach was lovely. I enjoyed the peaceful water and if we wanted to have more waves we could just go over to the sister resort for the day which was awesome and such a different experience. There was plenty to do in town and at both resorts. We stayed for 10 days and wished we had longer. Thank you Royal Cancun for such a memorable experience for our family.
