Nothing to do at night at the resort, not enough dinning options (2) and the beach has a lot of seaweed. Plus there is a surcharge on premium foods or drinks. We hung out at the pool and enjoyed the view and relaxed all week. The wait staff was great. I personally won’t be returning

We had an amazing stay at Royal Cancun. The rooms were clean, spacious and perfect for a family. The pools were great and there was always enough space for everyone. The hotel offered several activities including water aerobics, bingo, volleyball etc. The option for 24/7 room service was amazing and the kids loved being able to get breakfast in the room. The royal Cancun is great for the value however, if you were looking for great dining options and attentive and exceptional service this might not be the place for you. You have to approach things with a bit of patience to get the service you need. The staff is always very busy. This is also a timeshare property so be on the lookout for people trying to get you to sit down for the presentation. The beach area is decent, but there is a lot of seaweed. The upside is that it is shallow and great for kids.

My husband and I booked this resort to travel with our two sons ages 8 and 4. We stayed from April 14-18, 2025, and it was a great time for all of us! The Resort: The resort villas have their own kitchen that comes stocked with drinks, water, and ice trays. The cupboards have dishware and utensils, and there is a functioning stove; oven and microwave. There is also a mini mart on site with frozen food, snacks, milk, etc. If you’re travelling with young kids, this is perfect to have all late night snacks stocked up. The rooms were clean, well decorated and organized. There was a living room area separate from the rooms to not disturb sleeping kids and a balcony entrance from the living room and master room. I’ve never felt comfortable using the safe in other hotel rooms, but this one was easy to code, and lock. The Beach: The sand is white and soft. The

Great place for families with kids. Food was fantastic at all restaurants and service was always very professional. My 6 & 9 yr old loved the kids club. Tip for those that like an early bedtime, rooms further away from the bar pool are quieter. This was our second time and we will be back!

This is our fourth time in that hotel, we just love it. We just came back from there on April 15, 2025. Excellent service, clean rooms, plenty of delicious food. All staff members are great: Vera- she works in lobby is a great person, who makes your check-in easy and fast. Also waitresses are so good, I remember some names: Roger, Hector, Patricia, Karla, Angel, Alfredo, Neftali, Ernesto (manager of Tratatoria), Miguel, Mayki, Viktor and others. Our room maid was awesome: room was spotless and super clean. We would be back for sure. Great hotel where work great people. I just want to say thank you to each of them for making our vacation so great

The property was great for my family of 5. They could use more staff as the wait for food and drinks was unexpected at an all-inclusive. Overall though, would recommend this property. Quiet, but with enough stuff going on to keep you interested. (They could use a night show however)

Great staff, great property. Only downside was having to give your room card over for every meal and when getting beach/pool service, sometimes for hours at a time.

The property is beautiful. They seem to pay A lot of attention to small details with flowers and plants carefully placed throughout the property. The property is also very quiet. I am not sure if they just didn't have a lot of guests or if most guests chose to leave the property during the day. The drinks were also top notch. The cleaning staff was very friendly and Francesca our cleaning lady was very friendly and did a great job. Other than that the staff was not extremely friendly. They did a good job but it seemed like they really didn't care to be there. The Italian restaurant at Royal Cancun was great. We went twice, but the options were somewhat limited. The buffet and other food tasted mostly bland. The exception was some of the fruit(Mango, pineapple, Honey dew melon, grapes). We did get room service twice and the food actually tasted a little better that way. It was nice to be able to go to Royal Sands and enjoy some of the shows and food(although most of the food at Sands was pretty bland as well). We did finally get some enthusiastic service from Ricardo at Bistro. He was extremely helpful and friendly and it made a huge difference. The weather was not great so we never got to use the Kayaks, which was amazing extremely disappointong. Even on days when the water looked like glass. Scheduling around transportation and when restaurants were open was not very clear . Transportation was not available on Saturday which was a surprise not listed anywhere
