We had a great stay and enjoyed out time at the Royal Cancun. Very quiet and safe. If you want a quiet beach in a cove with no waves, this is the place for you. We went to Royal Sands a couple days so the kids could enjoy the waves and action there. The staff was generally very nice and always spoke to you as you walked about the property. The service at the The Palapa and the swim up bar were not super friendly or very attentive. Definitely need to have patience and not be in a hurry. The food was decent. We found we liked ordering off the menu more than eating the buffet. Omelet bar was fantastic and we ate from there every morning. Bars close at 10 (but found a lot of the time they would shut down a bit early and not serve anymore. All in all, we would probably stay there again. Rooms were fantastic and perfect for families.

The property was very well kept up. It was so clean. If you wanted to book a day excursion, most you just needed to walk over to the dock for your boat it was right there, no need to take a shuttle. Restaurant, option to order from menu or do the buffet, everyday had new menu options. Food was amazing. Staff were exceptional. Great place to bring kids, it was more relaxed. Not a party place. We really enjoyed our trip and would go back here again.
