This marks our eighth visit to the JW, and we continue to return because it is consistently exceptional in every regard. While turnover is inevitable in the hospitality industry, the JW stands out with its remarkable staff, many of whom have been with the property for years. Their personalized service and genuine efforts to get to know our family create a truly welcoming and memorable experience. Though we rarely request special accommodations, on the few occasions we have, the JW team has always gone above and beyond to ensure our needs are met. I wholeheartedly recommend the JW, and I have no doubt we will be back for our ninth visit very soon. Cheers!

This is my 2nd visit to JW Marriott Cancun 18 years later. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the JW! The staff is incredibly attentive, available, and helpful whether it's the Spa, pool waiters, front desk, all of them. This is a great location there are several restaurants within walking distance where we enjoyed eating each night. We had lunch by the pool and the nachos are soooo good. I can't speak to other restaurants on the property since we didn't try them.

We were disappointed with our room. Prefer to be close to the beach elevator and on the East side, higher floor. I know status matters, but pilots spending a night in a suite seems wasted (they said so too). There was a wedding, so it was quite noisy. That was okay, as it was fun to see them celebrate. The pools closed at 6 p.m. Please keep one open, maybe the adult pool. Elevators were slow. The A/C in our room was noisy.

We had an unforgettable 60th birthday celebration at the JW. It was the most beautiful beach I have ever experienced. The service was spectacular, again and again and again. Every interaction was a reflection of awesome training and people who cared about their job. Their friendliness added to our overall experience. We would love to go back every year- what a spectacular time. We are so thankful we were able to do this and lucky to have found this resort.

The hotel was nice but I was a bit disappointed, I expected more from a JW. The pools were on the smaller side and there was not a swim up bar which meant you had to rely on the few servers coming around and they didn’t come regularly. There was an area under construction at the pool and with the noise it wasn’t very relaxing, it may be a bar? The cabanas were two to a palapa hut so basically attached, you’d have another guest next to you the entire time. I inquired about reserving one and was quoted $200 for the day, at other resorts they are typically $100 for a private one. I inquired again and was quoted $150, I didn’t like that the first employee quoted so much, it would be nice if there was a set cost and you could reserve online rather than being priced on an employees mood. Needless to say they pretty much sat empty our entire trip. The restaurants were convenient but mediocre, a steak house or teppanyaki restaurant would have been nice. The breakfast was great though. Rooms were clean and front desk staff was helpful. The beach was beautiful.
