We just returned from an incredible vacation at The Royal Cancun and we're absolutely thrilled! The resort is impeccably clean and exceptionally well-maintained. Everywhere – from the rooms to the common areas and gardens – shows care and attention to detail, which greatly contributes to the feeling of comfort. Despite being a popular destination, the resort never felt overcrowded, allowing for a truly relaxing experience. It was a true pleasure to see how kid-friendly the resort is. Our little one had a fantastic time, especially in the wonderful kids' pool area which offered endless fun. And for the adults, the attentive pool bar staff ensured our drinks were always full! As parents, we felt at ease, knowing our child was having a blast in a safe environment. The friendly staff truly made our stay special. From check-in to check-out, everyone we encountered was helpful, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their genuine warmth added so much to our overall experience. The beach was magnificent – clean with fine sand, perfect for games and relaxation. There were plenty of family activities to keep us entertained throughout the day. One of the highlights for us was the tables on the restaurant's terrace at dinner time. It was so nice to dine outdoors while our child played in the sand with other kids! We highly recommended The Royal Cancun to any family looking for an unforgettable and relaxing vacation!

Vera at the front desk went above and beyond to help us. Room services wasnt always great always took almost an hour to get food delivered in the room. Everything else was great. Just wish resort offered some more activities included in all inclusive for the kids shows parties something else and had better deals or packages for tiurs and other activities. Definitely very family friendly convenient with kids. Excellent hospitality and very very helpful and pleasant staff

I booked here because the suites accommodated my large family. However the food is really poor quality, there is no good variety they will feed you the same food all week In addition the staff at the restaurants are rude. Overall hotel is clean and maids are great but I will not stay at this hotel in the near future due to bad customer service.

We were a group of ten family members from the age of 2 years old to 70 years old. The property is in a good location and is clean. We were book for a 4 day all-inclusive stay, two of our family members got food poisoning on the second day of our stay. My seven year old got very sick after eating a beef hamburger. He vomited in the room and got some towels dirty. When I requested more towel, they said they were going to charge me for making them dirty. I had no patience for that and asked to talk to manage, she said they were not going to charge me for them. They were kind to call me a private doctor that cost me an additional $500.00. I was frustrated, I will never bring my child back to this place.

It was a short trip but we absolutely loved it! It is kid friendly! Our son enjoyed the kiddie pool and the food options being a picky eater! The room was always nice and cool and the buffet and food were amazing! All inclusive is worth it! Patricia was amazing at making sure we had our food and drinks! The only thing I can suggest is having announcements through out the day to let people know about the activities with times. If you are unfamiliar as it was our first time we didn’t know what was happening at certain times only because of the paper they provided. It was amazing we plan to go back next year with more family!

Great beach front suite! Was really convenient and nice for our family of 4. The hotel is super clean and well maintained, but a little dated as far as decor or style goes. Not a ton of options for food on site. Four of the restaurants listed for the hotel are at its sister hotel, a 15 minute shuttle ride away. The only a la cart restaurant on site was impossible to get reservations at, so this left the beachside, open air buffet or room service. The Kids' Club was awesome for our young kids (6 & 9). My husband liked the gym and the hotel does have lots of things to do like tennis, riding bikes, or water activities. The stretch of ocean in front of the hotel is very mild and shallow and there's lots of seaweed. Not really swimmable.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Royal Cancun. It’s a very kid-friendly resort, which made our stay enjoyable and relaxing. However, there were a couple of issues. The room service wait time was quite long—typically between 45 minutes to an hour—which was challenging, especially with hungry kids. Additionally, I had scheduled a spa session for my husband and me on Friday, but when we arrived, we were told the appointment was set for Sunday instead. This was frustrating, especially since my confirmation receipt clearly stated Friday. Aside from these hiccups, we truly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the overall experience

The villas are very nice and comfortable. However, the rest of the resort left more to be desired. Pros: Clean rooms, pools and facilities. Kid friendly pool. Cons: Limited dinning options with average food. My family got the All Inclusive package and were disappointed with the limited beer options included in the package—Tecate and Tecate light. Horrible beer! Other drink options included mixed drinks with hardly any liquor and the drinks were extremely sweet. Getting a drink was also not convenient and service everywhere was so slow! It was almost intentional that staff didn’t want to bring more drinks. Aside from food and drinks, the contactless payment throughout the hotel was a pain. I had cash and wanted to pay for a souvenir in cash and was told that was not an option. Everything must be paid with a room card so we opted not to buy after all. There should be flexibility with payment options. Lastly, a family member got ill during the trip and required medical care due to some severe food poisoning, which we believe was due to food consumed at the resort. The doctor consultation was an additional fee while other resorts offer free medical consultations for guests. Overall, the kids had a good time but we plan to explore other resort options in the future.

We had a concierge named Dan we came here for a one-year anniversary and got married at the sands the sister resort was awesome this place was terrible Dan dropped the ball multiple times missed schedule us for massage our family dinner then also failed to inform us when the show/dinners are then when scheduling Thomas and more we went to the pirate ship show and there was no pirate show it was people twerking and being made to drink beer we asked if it would be kid appropriate they said yes I’m not sure what they think a 2 year old child will get out of that one then not to mention this was all inclusive and the service for that was terrible the room service took hours the fridge was never stocked even after complaining then when leaving plates out to be picked up the sat all day long 10/10 do not stay at royal cancun management showed no remorse for how terrible our family vacation and anniversary was for a place that we got married at a year before

The resort itself was great, food was good too but some of the staff was rude and mostly restaurant staff kinda made it unpleasant that we were treated like a nuisance. There is also some miscommunication in regards to the activities, my daughter tried to do snorkeling one of the days we were there and no one could appropriately guide her where to go.

Property was well kept & very nice. Pools were great. We did all inclusive, so would have been nice to know that bars don’t open until 11 & close at 10pm. Staff was great! Will definitely stay here again.

Quiet and well maintained property. Food options are great and if they had little bit more variety of drinks without paying extra would been more fun. If you're looking for a place to relax and not too crowded, this is the best one.
