"Lovely hotel opposite the beach"
Only there overnight but wanted to stay much longer. Did yoga at the surf club opposite, saw two whales and had breakfast at the beach

"Nice hotel close to the beach"
When your paying $700 per night, I would like to see foxtel instead of local channels and I would like room service. Don't get me wrong as the room was beautiful but I was looking for more pampering I guess for the amount I spent. Plus our car wasn't undercover and I found myself checking to see if it was still in the car park throughout the night. I guess I wanted more for $700.

"Cosy room"
the Bay Haven Lodge is a unique, cosy accommodation option for a quiet weekend getaway. We arrived quite late but the checking in process was quick and easy. Just a phone call from the gate had us inside in minutes and discovering the quaint aspect of the room. The bed was comfortable, the room well lite and the bathroom, though small, was adequate. One disappointing discovery was the absence of a bar fridge as we had bought some wine which we would have liked to have kept chilled.

"Comfortable and clean motel with all facilities"
Good welcoming reception-pleasing room with all requirements.Extra items provided on request.I was pleased to note information in the room addressing issues of noise outside rooms and loud tv's. That was very comforting. The well kept flowering plants outside the room was a nice touch.

"1970 Style house close to everything "
Had a wonderful holiday in Byron, the accommodation was close to everything but don't expect glitz and glamour! Was comfortable and a great beach house but only with the bare essentials. A chopping board or colander wouldn't have gone astray! TV stopped working on State Of Origin night and didn't get fixed before we left, which forced our kids to talk to us ;-) Would be a great spot for 3 groups as there are two other houses and a huge back yard.

"PEACE"
Our stay was perfect. We wanted to feel the beautiful energy of being in nature, to eat clean enjoyable food, be greeted by helpful , friendly staff & urgently needed some rest! We received everything we wanted and more. Also loved the walk through the wetlands to the beach, the pool and the divine paperbarks. Thank you!

    Pocket Guide: Byron Bay

Stay at one of our Byron Bay hotels and experience this relaxing town, famous for alternative living, surfing and eco-tourism.

Hit the beach and soak up some rays at one of Byron Bay’s famous beaches, which are some of the prettiest and cleanest on the east coast of Australia. Bring your surfboard too, as Byron is known for its great surf breaks! Head a little further east and visit Cape Byron, Australia's most easterly point and a great location for whale and dolphin watching. The most commonly sighted whale is the Humpback as they migrate past in May and June to breed, and return in September and October with their calves. Take a stroll around Cape Byron and up to the lighthouse, as the area has spectacular views of the ocean and rainforests. Our Byron Bay accommodation also makes a great base for experiencing the local Aboriginal culture and historical sites, which are maintained by members of the Arakwal clan. The area has a number of sites where the Aborigines camped and ate pipis, fish and animals, and the oldest site in the region is located at Palm Valley.

Head out of town and visit Crystal Castle, just 20 minutes from Byron. This tranquil place is a popular attraction and features stunning crystals surrounded by beautiful gardens, as well as a store that sells jewellery and other spiritual goods. For a great family day out, head to Macadamia Castle and visit the animal park, mini golf course, adventure playground and try a range of tasty macadamia goodies. Byron Bay also has a wide variety of quality restaurants, great takeaways, clothes boutiques and a number of shops selling works by local artists. The Byron Bay Markets are held the first Sunday of every month at the Butler Street reserve, and have numerous stalls selling handcrafted wares, artworks and locally-grown produce. Byron Bay is also home to a number of annual music festivals including the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival, held over the Easter weekend, and the Splendour in The Grass Festival, held at the end of July.

Byron Bay is an easy two hour drive from Brisbane and a one hour drive from Sydney, making it ideal for a beach escape. Leaving the car at home? Take advantage of the shuttle buses that run between the Brisbane CBD, airport, Surfers Paradise and Ballina. No matter how you get there, prepare yourself for a great holiday with our Byron Bay accommodation.
