Accommodation In Brunswick Heads

Want to stay in a peaceful little coastal town not far from Byron Bay? Brunswick Heads is the perfect destination! You’ll be close to swimming and surf beaches as well as unique shopping, delicious food and all the other wonders of the Byron Shire. Book your Brunswick Heads accommodation with us to get started!

Brunswick Heads is the oldest town in the Byron Shire and has its origins as a busy port in the 1880s. Just a 30-minute drive from Coolangatta and a 15-minute drive from Byron Bay, it’s easy to get to and close to the action. Two wooden bridges cross the Brunswick River and connect the village to the beaches: Torakina Beach is a family-friendly breakwater beach without too much swell, while Brunswick Heads Surf Beach is a long stretch of white sand and the place to go to catch waves. The bridges are also close to some lush tree-lined riverside walks. Banner Park is a stunning spot with children’s playgrounds, picnic areas and towering trees. It also plays host to events like the McGregor’s Family Carnival, which rolls into town around Christmas and brings the park to life with orange lights and spinning rides.

Those who love a good meal won’t be disappointed in Brunswick Heads, with over 25 local cafes, restaurants and take-away options featuring everything from vegetarian to fresh seafood. For some local shopping, take a wander through The Brunswick heads Monthly Market, held in Memorial Park on the first Saturday of each month. There are also a number of nearby stalls selling antiques and recycled treasures.

Rather stick to nature-based activities?, Hire a kayak and take it down the river, do a spot of fishing or go whale-watching on a marine tour setting sail from Brunswick Boat Harbour.

Brunswick Heads isn’t known for its pumping nightlife, but Hotel Brunswick on Mullumbimbi Street is a chilled-out place where you can grab a cold beer, enjoy a burger or catch a live band. If you’re still itching for a wild night on the town, there’s always Byron Bay, which has plenty of bars and clubs to choose from. Naturally you’ll want to explore Byron while you’re here anyway. With its range of exciting outdoor activities from skydiving to surfing, and famous icons like the Cape Byron Lighthouse, it’s truly a place to unwind and see the sights.

Partying or peace and quiet, back to nature or taking on the tourist hotspots – it’s your choice with our Brunswick Heads accommodation. Book now and discover the Byron Shire!
