Our room was more like an apartment (and we had a balcony) with excellent appliances and equipment. The only thing we found difficult was the depth of the bath as the shower was over the bath.

The car park was in a different location, for $30 prepaid in a Wilson’s car park but there was a Wilson’s car park offering weekend parking for $15 round the corner

The only redeeming features of this hotel are the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the central location. The first room we were in had no air conditioning in the middle of a Queensland summer yikes. There was no issue getting a new room straight away which was wonderful. However both rooms had really stained carpets and didn’t seem very clean. At no point over 6 days we’re we given new towels. The hallway ALWAYS smelled disgusting (like garbage). I should mention both rooms we saw were on different floors so I know the smell wasn’t contained to just one floor. The lobby had an overwhelming disinfectant smell which I can only assume was to mask the garbage smell throughout the rest of the building.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay with us, first with rooms not up to our usual cleaning standards, but also maintenance issues. We are very thankful our lovely staff could assist you in whatever way they could, will pass the information on to them. As we do offer a 1x day Housekeeping Service for all guests staying over 7x days or more, all other guests are able to request amenities directly from reception at any stage during their stay. Due to a number of building issues faced during your stay, some of our common areas, unfortunately had developed a bad smell from the bin chute, and we apologise for the discomfort this smell had caused over your stay. We have since, organized to address the issue, and have our building back to smelling as beautifully as it should. I wanted to thank you for your patience over your stay and again, should you choose Mantra for your accommodation needs, we will endeavour to make sure your feedback has been taken on and reviewed.
