Rydges Australia Square has recently been refitted from the old Tank Stream Hotel. It is modern, clean and the staff were very helpful. The check in process was done online but easy to manage. There is a restaurant with good dinner options. We enjoyed dinner there. They have breakfast available plus a cafe that doubles as a bar at night. Such a great central location and close to Wynyard train station. I stayed in a twin room. The room is small but comfortable and nice and modern as it has just been done up. We had a room with a window facing the street. There are also rooms that are centrally located that face an internal void.

A Great Place in Downtown Sydney

This is a very nice hotel with a great service staff and comfortable accommodations. Check-in and -out was quick and easy. The buffet breakfast items provided were generally good and plentiful. The on-site coffee/wine bar is nice, and the wait staff is too. Many dining and drinking establishments as well as shopping and attractions are within easy walking distance of the hotel, as is the cruise terminal.

Good position but small rooms.

The hotel is in a good position for Circular Quay, Darling Harbour and shopping. Room size is small and it is difficult to open a case. Breakfast was good. Difficult to understand why the bar closed so early. Told we couldn’t sit in the foyer and have a drink with friends.
