When we first entered the room, there was a very strong chemical smell (potentially floor cleaner) and a musty smell in the bedroom. Later that evening when we returned, the carpet in the bedroom was wet (under the air con unit and under the beds). The phone in the unit was also not working. For a quality hotel, this is not acceptable and I will not be staying here in the future.

The lifts are being upgraded so they were very slow and inconsistent to arrive or take you to the appropriate floor (new AI system is terrible). Our room was next to the garbage room, and the smell wafted into our room for our entire stay. Checked under the bed before we left to see if anything feel down there... Wish I didn't. It was thick with dust and junk from at least a years worth. Absolutely disgusting.

We were here for an overnight before taking a cruise. The staff members were wonderful. Our room in the 23rd floor was ok but the street is noisy even all through the night. All the amenities r fine. A good place to stay for a longer duration

Everything was great. The new lift system sucks but they are working on fixing one lift. The only thing. There were 2 aircons in the room/lounge and they only work if you set them both to the same setting. Its odd and slightly annoying.

I would give 5* alone for the reception, very friendly and helpful and 4* for the room because water was leaking from my bathroom where I had to stay for 6 nights plus I just had once housekeeping coming to my room but actually what is really concerning was that one of my belongings disappeared (white shirt) and unfortunately I only notice when I got home, so is difficult to prove anything but I had no other recollection of removing it from the wardrobe.

Room was clean, staff were friendly and courteous. A couple of issues with the toilet seat which was damaged and coming off its hinges, and one of the bathroom cupboard doors with a similar issue. Not major issues, however not something to be expected at a 5-star property. Overall a good stay.

Place had been recently painted and it smelt like all day and night,they also liked to leave all the paint splatters all over the fridge,bathroom fittings,mirrors, TV's one of which didnt work,the phone to the reception didnt work,which after requesting it to be fixed it took 2 days,we will definitely not be back,probably to any meriton now!Too expensive for underwhelming accommodation!

Really nice hotel, close to the central station and all the trams, easy to reach the harbor and also easy to reach other parts of the city. Receptionist was very kind and helpful, i didn't like the initial room and he helped finding another one which was perfect for me. Loved the kitchen with all the utensils, loved the washer / dryer which i actually ended up using. Everything was great, i would definitely go back there.

We enjoyed our four night stay here. The location was awesome, close proximity to amazing eateries, shops, and transport options. The hotel itself offered great ammenities. Staff were super helpful and friendly (some of the best we’ve come across). The room we had was spacious, quiet, and having a kitchenette and in room laundry was a life saver. We would likely stay here again. The only reason we won’t give it a five star rating (although it is close) is because our room was not 100% clean when we arrived (e.g. the fridge had dirty hand prints all over it and the bathroom shelf had dried soap puddles), and some fixtures seemed on their last legs (e.g. tapware a bit wobbly, bathroom toilet/shower a bit old looking). But like I say, overall - we would stay here again, and recommend!

Definitely not a 5 star place like advertised. Room doesn’t have usb plugs or universal electric plugs (we are from the US and had to go outside to search and buy adapters, because front desk or room service doesn’t have any), and the room overall was very dated. Air conditioning unit was noisy. We had to request towels as the room only had 2 large towels for the shower and that’s all. On the other hand location of the hotel is excellent, personal is very nice and trying to resolve all your issues very quickly. Luggage storage is very efficient.

We only got 3 towels, so had to use hand towel to wipe up the water on the bathroom floor after showering. No spare blanket, it just felt it was missing things other hotels provide.
