We stayed at Secrets Maroma with a group of 24 to celebrate a friend’s 40th birthday, and the resort was amazing at accommodating such a large group. From seamless poolside service to organizing group dining, everything was handled with ease and attention to detail. The swim-out pool off our room was a refreshing way to start the day, and the beach was absolutely breathtaking. We loved the variety of activities—learning to salsa dance was a blast, and the silent disco was something I didn’t know I needed but absolutely loved! The workout facilities were also a pleasant surprise—clean, modern, and well-equipped. Secrets Maroma strikes the perfect balance of luxury, fun, and relaxation.

block 26 - preferred club swim out room - Roger the concierage was always great (third time in his building) - special shout out to preferred club beach service waiter Marco - very hard working (noticeably moreso then a few of the others) and would give drink recommendations. Also Francisco at the Asian Restaurant was great on our last night.

We stayed at Secrets Maroma in April. The resort is beautiful, well maintained, and clean. The staff was very friendly. There are many restaurant choices, although we only ate at the Italian, French, Asian, and breakfast buffet. We also really enjoyed the pop up food and "ice cream truck" options by the pool. We loved that they had fun things to do that you could enjoy on your own at any time, such as mini golf, hammocks, and lawn games (favorite was the giant pool table with mini soccer balls). They had many activities each day, including a tuna snoring and behind the scenes kitchen tour. There is a bar/pool area that was lively, as well as a chill infinity pool. We also had a swim out private pool that is shared by only 10 rooms. The beach was incredible. We rented a cabana on the beach and it was totally worth it. Definitely recommend Secrets Maroma.

Overall experience was okay. Pros: Nice, well maintained property with specious rooms. Beautiful beach. For all inclusive the food was OK. Not bad and not wow. we did get sick on our last day, not sure if got poisoned by food or from ice in the drink. Cons: no one sets up beds by the pool or at the beach. you get a towel, walk around looking for a beach bed, and make it yourself. people leave towels for half a day just blocking a bed and no one cleans them up either. very cheap mediocre alcohol choices (if you are used to good wine or good whiskey), of course you can always purchase a bottle of wine for $130 the same that cost $25 in a liquor store.

Excellent customer service! All staff were very friendly and made us feel like home! Everywhere was clean and the cleaning staff did an exceptional job in keeping everywhere and everything nice and tidy! We love our swim out room! While it was quite busy by the pool, we enjoyed our privacy while still enjoying the beautiful sun and pool (river) that’s wide and long enough to enjoy swimming and suntanning in the water! We tried the French restaurant Bordeaux and it’s wonderful; Italian called Postino and it’s really really good (our favourite); the burgers at the Barefoot Grill by the pool were excellent; pizza was great also… lunch at seaside grill wasn’t impressive at all… and breakfast at the World Cafe was good. There’s a gentleman who made great latte at Coco Cafe! Would love to come back again!

We enjoyed the turn down service and treats in our room. We had a swim up room which was relaxing and peaceful. So many wonderful things about this resort!
