Absolutely lovely apartments with excellent facilities in the heart of Port Macquarie. The staff are brilliant and extremely welcoming of small children. This was our second stay at Mantra Quayside and I'm sure it won't be the last!

Best Western Plus Hw Boutique Hotel

"Nice hotel for the view and value. "
Across the street and short walk to the beach and Harbour entrance. Also close to town centre. The staff arranged 2 rooms side by side but not adjoining. One room was remodelled and other room was not. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful with restaurants. It rained the 2 days we were there so we would have enjoyed a much bigger TV in the room.

"Fantastic Hotel - But....."
Sails is a wonderful place to stay. Staff were fantastic, location second to none, bed was comfortable. Everything about it was fantastic except for one thing - there was construction work being done at the time I was there. So both mornings there were workmen on the roof right above my room from 8 a.m onwards making a consistent loud banging noise. It was so loud that there was no way anyone could possibly sleep through it. I understand that this work had to be completed, however I would have expected a lower rate because of this. Once the work is completed I'm sure Sails will be even more perfect.

"A good size comfortable clean modern apartment. "
The experience of being in the hotel was excellent. The staff were very friendly. The service and amenities were great. We loved the pool and spa. Our apartment was Modern and so comfortable. We really could not fault the Observatory Hotel. Thankyou, Observatory Hotel. But our experience outside of the Hotel was different. It was standard. The service of food places we went to was standard.

Waters Edge Port Macquarie

1 Buller Street, Port Macquarie - Map
"Pleasant hotel with a great view of the water"
We were greeted by a friendly receptionist and welcomed to the hotel. I was disappointed that there was no lift as we had a very heavy suitcase that had to be carried up two flights of stairs. The rooms are very clean but they really need a re-furb. Everything is very dated and old looking. We only stayed one night as we were passing through, but the beds were comfortable and the hotel is very close to the shops and restaurants

Port Macquarie is located on the New South Wales North Coast, and the remarkably untouched waters of the coast, inlets, and rivers are one of the main attractions to the area. Stay in our Port Macquarie accommodation and explore the natural surrounds of not only the beautiful waterways, but also the rolling hills covered in forestry. See a selection of Diamond Beach accommodation, Lighthouse Beach accommodation or Emerald Beach accommodation for a beachside getaway.

There are nine main beaches so you are guaranteed easy access to the water during a stay in our Port Macquarie hotels. The most popular of Port Macquarie’s beaches are Town, Flynn’s and Lighthouse, which are all patrolled and manned by Surf Life Saving Clubs. This beachside location has fostered a laidback surfing lifestyle that can be felt throughout the town.

There are plenty of other ways to experience the water while staying in a Port Macquarie hotel, with a number of companies and operators offering different watercrafts for hire. Take a boat down the Hastings River for a leisurely cruise or a spot of fishing; try your hand at windsurfing in Regatta Grounds or Trial Bay, or let someone else look after you and take one of the many day cruises and head out on the water and catch a glimpse of some dolphins and other aquatic wildlife.

Some other wildlife you might want to check out is back on land. From your Port Macquarie accommodation visit the Billabong Koala and Wildlife Park, world renowned for its koala breeding program, the park lets you get up close to the animals and touch and feed endangered Australian wildlife including the rare Albino Kangaroo.
