We stayed on the new side of XCaret Mexico. Overall, it was a great trip. We went with two adults and two teens. Leaving pros and cons for others to help others avoid some of the issues we had:
Pros: great staff, clean property, clean rooms, couldn’t hear noise from neighbors, pools weren’t too crowded, good drinks, easy access to parks
Cons: 1) despite trying to reach out several times via several different methods, we couldn’t get dinner reservations. All restaurants were fully booked when we got there and no one could get us in anywhere. Seems like they only help those who book through XCaret directly or a travel agent. Super disappointing as we wanted to eat dinner at The Cevas or somewhere other than a buffet 2) we were surprised to learn we were staying in the new phase as that was not communicated to us until we got there. Parts are still under construction 3) no one ever cleaned our room. They’d do the nightly turndown but did not clean or provide new towels and 4) it’s a huge property - only call that out as families with little kids might find it challenging as there is a lot of walking involved
