We were a family of 4 with two under three and the apartment was spacious and comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The pools are nice and the spa was lovely. Close to everything and the restaurant was yummy. Not super luxury but good value for what we needed for the weekend.

"Nice hotel with excellent staff"
We were very happy with the hotel. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Nothing was to much of a bother. Felt the rooms were a little bit dated and could do with a bit of updating but they were clean and tidy

"If you're looking for somewhere cheap..."
Very "meh". Staff were super friendly but the hotel itself wasn't incredible. The photos seemed a bit different to the actual place - king size bed, sure, but it was rock hard and quite uncomfortable. Small rooms, no natural light in the bathroom as well as no ventilation (I think this was the reason behind the strange smell), felt very cheap. It was okay though, all we did was sleep there.

"Beautiful location"
We had a wonderful 3 night escape here. This is a very easy hotel to find along the esplanade, plenty of safe parking available. We loved the 2 swimming pools, had breakfast at the hotel on one morning. Check in and out was fast. Wouldn't recommend taking a swim in the ocean. We would stay here again, but probably in self contained unit.

    Accommodation In Palm Cove

Tropical North Queensland is renowned for its hidden coastal delights and unspoiled beaches, and located halfway between Cairns and Port Douglas, you will find one of its best. Palm Cove offers everything that a tropical paradise should, from spectacular coastline complete with palm fringed beaches, to a relaxed waterfront promenade. Browse our range of Palm Cove accommodation and book your own little slice of heaven.

    History

Aboriginals inhabited the Palm Cove area as long as 60,000 years ago! It's believed that the Chinese might have visited the area about 3,000 years ago and that Captain Cook may have come ashore and filled up his water bottle before continuing down the coast. It wasn't until 1873, however, that Europeans began to settle here and it was the mid 1950s before the region was officially named "Palm Cove".

    Things to do

As with the rest of Queensland’s coast, the beach is the biggest attraction while you stay in Palm Cove. With pristine white sand and crystal clear waters, Palm Cove Beach is not only beautiful, but voted one of Australia’s best.

Once you've sufficiently swum, relaxed and worked on your tan, why not head out for a snorkel or a dive on the stunning Great Barrier Reef?

    Shopping and dining

Wander the beachside promenade and discover boutique stores, cafés and bars hiding beneath ancient melaleucas and swaying palm trees. Palm Cove has been built around the natural surroundings – rather than on top of them – further preserving the unspoilt feel of this idyllic coastal gem. So enjoy your meals and cocktails with breathtaking waterfront views.

    Getting here and around

The nearest airport is the Cairns Airport, about half an hour away, so be sure to nab one of these cheap flights to Cairns. Once you arrive, you can catch a coach bus from the airport to Palm Cove and then get around on foot. On the other hand, if you're planning on exploring some of the other towns in the Tropical North, consider hiring a car at the airport.

So wot are you waiting for? Book a room in one of our Palm Cove hotels listed and don't forget to pack your sunscreen!
