The room was an expected size for a New York City hotel room. The issue that we had with our particular room is that our air conditioner did not work properly. We had a maintenance person check it twice and was told there was no issue, but our room continued to stay warm! The only thing that saved us, was that it was cool outside and we were able to open our window to let the cool air in. It was also difficult trying to get anyone at the front desk to answer the phone to even report our issue. We ended up having to go to the front desk to report it. Also, the hotel breakfast area could have been larger due to the volume of people passing through, but kudos to the staff for making sure all the breakfast was stocked and plates were cleared quickly.

Overall, good hospitality from staff and a decent room. However, the elevator situation was frustrating throughout our stay - we waited up to 10 minutes at times for an elevator. Also, the breakfast area was simply overrun at nearly all hours that it was open. There was also a construction project that kept our room very noisy most of the day - and we were not warned about this beforehand.

My experience at the Hampton Inn in New York Time Square was very disappointing. The front desk staff was extremely rude and unhelpful, which made for an unpleasant check-in experience. On top of that, the elevator broke down twice during my stay, and I got stuck inside once. It was uncomfortable and alarming. This is not what I would expect from a hotel like Hampton Inn. I hope they improve their customer service and maintenance.

The elevators are a disaster. Extended waits. Over crowded. There were noises in the vents all night — sounded like the scampering of rats. Seriously. The room was fine — consistent with expectations. Location was very good.

Terrible , me and my friend were accosted in the hotel lobby by a man who tried to grab my friend’s buttocks and then spit on me. I notified the hotel manager right after the incident on 11/1/2025. The hotel manager only smugly responded with “well did you call nypd”. The hotel staff did not try to comfort us after such trauma ask us if we were okay, offer to call the police, or even give me a towel for being spit on. And I specifically booked this hotel in Manhattan because I thought it would be a safer stay. If you want your loved ones safe do not stay here.
