Huge hotel with many rooms- not enough elevator capacity. Waited as long as 15 minutes for an elevator to get down to lobby. Breakfast was good but so crowded it was hard to find a seat

Prime location if you are seeing something on broadway. Friendly staff and clean facility. Small rooms as expected in Manhattan. Some elevator delays at prime hours as others have mentioned, however seems that they do monitor this as there was a group of us waiting on the 22nd floor and a staff person came up on a service elevator to bring us to the lobby. Longest time I had to wait for an elevator during our 4 night stay was less than 10 minutes.. we also opted to take the stairs down twice which wasn’t too bad. The only real “critique” I would have is that we visited during a heat wave and our room remained pretty stuffy despite having the AC at the lowest setting. I definitely woke up sweating in the mornings. Would recommend.

It started off good until the second day when a heavy panel fell from then ceiling with a loud boom. I tried to call the front desk and no one answered twice at night while on the 34th floor. I had to go to the front desk to report the issue in my pajamas. It was replaced but the. The next day it start d drooping again

Elevator concept is horrible!

The elevator concept is horrible in the morning, which you will read in the reviews section. Breakfast ends at 10am and check out time is no later than 10am. So, you can imagine elevator traffic during that time will be jammed packed that leads to lots of frustration among hotel guests. Many guests including me will not return to this hotel anymore.

We stayed in a room with a king-size bed. It was small but efficiently laid out so as not to feel too cramped. The air conditioner in the room buzzed loudly every 20 minutes or so the first night. After reporting this, maintenance was promptly dispatched however the buzzing still occurred but was a bit quieter and occurred hourly. Breakfast was as expected with the staples of an american style breakfast with waffles. We did not get a room refresh until day 3. Being in the city we took 2 showers a day and really could have used new towels more often. The biggest downsize is the wait for the elevators between 8 AM-10 PM. After being there several days, the wait to get up to the room or down to the lobby became annoying.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar was a great get away from the chaos of Times Square. My room was clean and well appointed. The only downside is the automatic elevators. Fortunately I was on the 32 floor—so almost always got a ride down. Folks in the lower floors were almost always waiting for a really long time to be able to get on. The wait time for these elevators was typically poor around breakfast and dinner/showtime when everyone was trying to leave at the same time.

Can't beat the location - very convenient to Times Square and Rockefeller Center. Included breakfast is basic and of course crowded at this time of year. Climate control system can be noisy, but I never heard the elevator that was right next to my room. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Mice in the breakfast area

The Hampton Inn lobby was small and stayed messy, dirty, and overcrowded our enitre stay. Staff was average, not much interaction. I have stayed in other NYC hotels and we were greeted as we came in. Here the front desk staff was either busy or talking to each other and hanging out. There were long waits for the elevators, both going up and coming down. The rooms were incredibly small, even for NYC. There was no place for our luggage in the room. Took multiple visits from maintenance to get the AC and fridge to work properly. The previous guests items were left in the fridge when we arrived. The kicker was that there were MICE running around the breakfast area on the one morning I was able to find an empty table. This place was VERY disappointing.
