The most convenient location near Times Square but off the busiest streets. I felt safe. Walked back to room around 11 pm. Not many people on the street by the hotel so I just walked close to another group. AC worked great and furnishings were fine. A little dark inside and bathroom is tiny but overall it was great. Kitchen is a wonderful bonus if you have kids.

Having kitchen in the room was very nice for morning coffee. Reheating meals. Painting and updating was in process while we were there. Staff very nice and helpful. Location is just on the EDGE of sketchy…(but safe!). Great for theatre; buses & subways.

It’s an old building so it shows that. It could use a remodel getting rid of the gross carpets but, overall, it was clean and the staff were very very nice. The front desk told us we could wash our clothes in the basement laundry room for free so that was so nice and a bit of an adventure. The biggest issue was only one elevator working but it wasn’t too long a wait to be honest. Pullout sofa was super duper uncomfortable so be warned. Regular king bed was very comfy. No vent fan in the bathroom so steamy. A/Cs worked great.

Great for longer stays

Extremely convenient location and smart space configuration in room for long trip. Kitchen was well stocked, bathroom spacious with enough counter space (under window). Room well-laid out. Elevators slow in busy times, and stairs a bit dangerous - very narrow treads at spots. Photo makes lobby look much larger and more opulent than it is. Friendly, helpful staff. Laundry facilities available (but only late at night - they say after 8 but really after 9 or 9:30 because used by housekeeping).

This was a lovely queen suite priced similarly to a regular room in other hotels. Our queen suite had a full kitchenette equipped with oven, fridge, microwave and coffeepot, as well as place settings for 3. It was raining as we exited the hotel one evening, and staff offered umbrellas for use. That was a big help in getting to the theater dry and comfortable!
