Location is decent. You can hear everything going on in the hallway all day and night. Staff is unhelpful. There is not room service all day or night. It is only for a few hours in the evening. Maids are very loud, play music and speak loudly. I heard people coming in and out of their rooms all night long on a Sunday. I woke up once an hour from 11pm to 8am bc of noise outside my room. Not even the cars and busy streets of nyc were as loud as here. Better off staying at gild hall from now on.

This place was actually quite nice. I appreciate that I can leave my luggage and for peace of mind, they hand you a ticket. I’m glad you just can’t go in the luggage area and grab whatever luggage!

Great Location to Escape the Throngs
When I visit New York, I like to find a quieter place to stay, away from the crowds of people. The Downtown DoubeTree is a perfect moderately priced option with a subway stop on the same street. My only quibble, hence the 4 star review, is that the elevator waits can at times seem endless, particularly when staying on upper level floors. I'd recommend building an additional 10 minutes into your travel calculations to account for the elevator arrival and many local stops as you make your way to ground level. Otherwise, my experiences here have been overall positive.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the poor elevator service experienced during my recent stay at your hotel. Throughout my stay, the elevators were consistently slow and unreliable, particularly during peak times. However, the most frustrating aspect was when the elevators were out of service or too full to fit, I had to carry luggage from the 14th floor down to the ground level. As a guest, I expect a certain level of convenience and comfort during my stay, which unfortunately was not met due to the elevator issues. Carrying luggage down multiple flights of stairs not only posed a safety concern but also significantly impacted my overall experience at your hotel. I understand that maintenance issues can arise, but it is essential for a reputable establishment like yours to ensure that adequate measures are in place to address such issues promptly and efficiently. I would appreciate it if you could investigate the root cause of the elevator problems and take appropriate steps to prevent similar incidents in the future. Additionally, I kindly request compensation or a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience and inconvenience caused during my stay. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Great choice!
Great choice! Good location in FIDI, very close to transport options (Bowling Green MTA has step free options if you have luggage) quiet on the weekend. All staff were friendly and human. Rooms were on the small side and felt a bit tired but nevertheless I liked it a lot and would return.
