Pod 39 is great, simple and basic accommodations for a very reasonable price (although I am not a fan of dynamic pricing; you pay a different amount every night). The location is ideal: three blocks south to the Morgan Library; three blocks north to Grand Central Terminal. The rooms are very small, but the place is reasonably quiet and very clean. I wish they'd drop the pretense of the $20.00 per night "facilities fee." There is a bar and a restaurant off the lobby, but otherwise no "facilities." Be sure to check out the Caffe Venice around the corner for great sandwiches. I would definitely stay at Pod 39 again, and I recommend it without hesitation.

We arrived 5 hours before check in, ready to leave our bags and come back, but the staff offered us early check in, and even upgraded our room just because (im assuming after they saw we were a young couple)! Staff was lovely, you get the space you pay for, small but it works! Coffee in the mornings is a bonus. Super conveniently located to grand central. Will definitely consider coming back.

I was very disappointed with my stay. For a room that cost over $500 per night, the bed was extremely small, I could barely fit on it comfortably. Early in the morning, a cleaning staff member opened the door and entered while I was still inside the room, which was very uncomfortable and unacceptable. After staying up late exploring New York, I was unable to sleep afterward because of the disturbance. Overall, this was a terrible experience and definitely not worth the price.
