Staff were great and the rooms are very clean. The water pressure is great and it’s hot! The only drawback is the walls are paper thin and you can hear EVERYTHING that goes on in the rooms next door.

Very clean. Deli 2 doore down with lots of food choices, parking right next door, large common area to relax and enjoy friends. Hotel staff are ALL amazing, friendly, helpful peaple. Great bar restaurant across the street. Centrally located to attractions. Loved it there.

The staff was so wonderful at this hotel. The location is great, and you can walk to a lot of tourist stuff or be at the convention center in a few minutes. The hotel restaurant wasn’t as good as I hoped, but it’s NY you don’t at a hotel most of the time, it was fine for a last minute meal or breakfast. But overall we would stay here and again, and loved how amazing, kind, helpful, and hardworking the staff was. From the bellhop, cleaning staff to the managers and front desk. Everyone wanted your stay to be above average, and genuinely talked and took care of you!

We traveled as a family with young kids and generally enjoyed our stay at the Kimpton Theta. Some things to note - staff service was hit and miss - some were really great and some not very friendly or helpful. The rooms are of good size and comfortable. The location is fantastic. The street noise is an issue and I strongly recommend taking a room on a high floor facing the back. The lobby common space is well put, comfortable for both relaxing and work time. The little cafe is OK, but has limited options. The roof top restaurant and bar are great. We stayed for several days, then left for three days to visit another city before returning back to stay at the hotel, and were disappointed that the hotel could not store our bags for those days away and that the hotel staff mistakenly sent back a package that arrived for us because we checked out, even though we notified them upfront that the package is coming in. Overall, we enjoyed the trip, but felt that the hotel has areas for improvement that would make us feel better about the stay.

It could be more hospitable if they made the guests aware upfront that they can ask for a microwave or coffee maker to be delivered to the room . Housekeeping staff was very friendly, but the front desk folks were barely communicative and definitely not welcoming, unlike our earlier stay this year. Great location!
