The entrance foyer is amazing, but that’s where it stops. The so called queen bed was so small, the room was even smaller and as for the bathroom, well let’s just say it could do with a major renovation. The A/C controls were almost non existent and it dripped water. No ice machine on every floor. If you hate confined spaces I recommend you look elsewhere. We have traveled all over the states for three weeks and this was the worst accommodation ever.

I loved this property and I loved the views. The suite was a welcome surprise and the price was incredibly reasonable for Manhattan . The amenities were excellent. I was a little disappointed that through no fault of my own the toilet backed up and a maintenance guy came up with a plunger for less than 5 minutes to clear the toilet and I was charged over 60$ for this. The hotel is old and I wouldn’t be surprised if this happens more regularly. However this aside and it only occurred the once, I was very happy with the accommodation I got great shots of the city from the balcony and the bed was Uber comfortable. I would most certainly stay again 😃. Just be mindful of additional billing for facility malfunctions

The rooms have some charm to them. Feels old, and the staff is nice. But the water temp in the shower was constantly fluctuating, and didn't matter what time of day I showered.

We stayed 5 nights. The hotel is old but well kept, clean and the staff were good. Security was present at all times so we didn’t worry about safety. Our metro view room on the 36th floor was small and very expensive, but I guess they all are in Manhattan. It did have a great view though. The TikTok Diner was meh for food and service. McDonald’s across the street and lots of other restaurants close by. Easy walk to Times Square and the subway station right on the corner. We would stay there again.

Diamond in the Ruff
I use The New Yorker a few times. My office is a block away and often my position requires some late nights and I live in NJ so its convenient to stay over in NY. The hotel staff and security are amazing as well as the in house amenities such as the restaurants and gym. Overall, a great price for the location although my company pays its still worth it.

Went to the hotel for a weekend getaway. The pictures online and what I saw when I made it were very different. The bathrooms were outdated and rusted. My walk in closet is bigger than the room. The only convenience was the location. Other than that, stay clear of the hotel.
