The hotel location next to Time Square is fantastic. However the room was small without a fridge (extra) & the decor was old. Getting a hot shower at peak times was sometimes challenging & poor. The Tuesday & Friday afternoon wine & cheese hours were very enjoyable & a nice way to end our day.

You can’t fault the beautiful period charm and features of the hotel, the cool vibe, fabulous restaurant, and location. It was our 5th time in NY and we had eaten here before, so were excited to stay and see the full glory of the hotel, and it didn’t fail to deliver. What made this a below average stay was the constant nightly noise, leading to lack of sleep. The first morning the whole family was woken at 5:45am to the sounds of vomiting from the next adjoining room. When raised with the front desk we were told the solution for this was next time we call the front desk, and they wil send security (to stop the vomiting!) credit to the manger that he moved us to another room, without an adjoining room. The rooms are stuffy but the air conditioning was so noisy you couldn’t leave it running. We had hoped that once we were moved to another room without a vomiting neighbor, the aircon would be quieter, sadly no. The same jet engine was running next to the bed so we had to go without any cooling for the stay. Finally, previously the hotels we have stayed in had great sound proofing on the windows etc. NYC is always going to be noisy, sirens and life moving 24/7, but the Edison doesn’t seem the have any means of reducing noise. We had construction outside the window across the road, hammering, drilling and building from 6am, people yelling on the street below etc, all of which we could hear. If you stay here, make sure you get a room on a very high floor, with newer aircon.

Perfectly located!

It was busy upon arrival, but we were personally greeted. All staff was friendly and respectful. The hotel was perfectly located for Broadway and Time Square!!!! The hotel was clean and had everything we needed.

The Heart of the Theatre District is a short walk.

Hotel Edison is convienient to Times Sqaure and the theatre district. We went to 5 different shows and all were within walking distance. If that's your focus, this is the place. Everything else is a long cab ride away. We got off to a VERY rocky start and surly maintenence man. I went to the front desk and spoke with the manager. He escorted us to a more suitable room and promised to address the bad behavior. The onsite cafe is a nice spot for breakfast. The French toast was excellent. The in house restaurant was highly regarded, but pricey.

Solid 4-star property in a 5-star location. Perhaps not as posh as some other properties in the area, but for what we paid we feel it was far and away the best value. Very cool 30's - 50's vintage vibe. Rooms not big but clean and with a comfie bed and climate controls. On-site dining not mind-blowing but good enough. Staff friendly and accommodating, and a big plus for us was a very effective, very speedy elevator system. In summation, a lot going for this place, but the best part, bar none, is the location! It is literally across the street from the Richard Rodgers theater (where Hamilton is playing) and next door to the Lena Horne theater (where Six is playing). Pretty much all other on-Broadway shows are within walking distance, and Times Square is less than 100 yards away. If you are looking for a reliable, comfortable, clean hotel in a nearly perfect location that won't break the bank, this is about as good as it gets.

This hotel is located in the heart of the theater district so you can walk a short way to buy tickets at TKTS booth at reduced price, to attend most of the top plays, and find a delicious meal from a wide choice of restaurants in the area. The property has several eateries to choose from, a lively bar with live music, and a ballroom which might be hosting a fun event like a fashion show with a discount from the hotel. The room was spacious w blackout drapes, comfy beds, and nice toiletries. We attended a free happy hour and had a free bottle of wine delivered to our room! Highly recommend!

Not quite the level of comfort and luxury of other 4-star hotels, but great location and did the job. This is a big busy hotel that doesn’t have the personal touch you might get at a boutique hotel in the city. Be aware of the additional resort fees they charge which really up the price. Also charging a dollar per bag on top of that to store your bags once you check out is outrageous. But overall, this place is fine.

We loved New York City, the location of hotel was great and easy to get to places. However, it was NOISY!!!!!!!!!. The rooms had no good sound proofing. We could not sleep due to noise, we were jet lagged and it was not good. Would not stay there again.

The property is literally next to Times Square in the centre of Manhattan although just far enough away that the noise doesn’t carry into the hotel. The staff was excellent. The on-site restaurant and bar were terrific. You hardly ever needed to leave the facility.
