Good points: - check in easy all information text messaged to me for my late check in - parking was easy - sheets/linen was good - staff were friendly and helpful Bad points: - shower and bathroom were gross - mould, black mould. Could so easily be cleaned - no kettle in the kitchen - window locks didn't work - a bit unsettling with a ground floor apartment, didn't feel that safe - bed needs an upgrade, sinks in the middle pretty bad - garden beds out the front have been left abandoned - it could be made really nice but hasn't been Overall the property *could* have been great, but some things have obviously been let go and not cared about.

We chose these apartments because we were going to the Melbourne Cup and it was advertised as being only 800 mt away. This was only if you were a crow. Reality was 5.3 km away by road or a 2.5 hour walk. Reception was in another building. Had to pay extra for parking which was unexpected. There was no lift and stairs were dirty. It looked ok on first look at apartment but cleanliness was only surface deep. Mould in shower and on ceiling. Removed rubbish bag and bin was disgusting. Took rubbish to bin and found the outside bin area was full of cigarette butts, rubbish and broken glass. Had not been cleaned in months. Cooking utensils all needed replacing, very old and well used. Dining table and chairs old and rocked. No room to put your bags(not good if you have a bad back) and tv in a very low position.

Unclean room

As a house keeping supervisor for a hotel i have certain but not unreasonable expectations. However nothing prepared me for the shock of walking in to my assigned room to find it had not been cleaned at all! The bathroom mirror was filthy, the sink had hair in it, the shower had not been wiped down or cleaned, the toilet had stains in it from the previous occupant. The kitchenette had food crumbs and stains all over the bench and there was food waste left in the sink. Then there was the hair all over the room. The only clean thing in the room was the linen on the bed and the towels. On calling reception i received an apology but was asked if i was ok to stay in the room as there was nothing that could be done at that time (6.30pm), so i stayed. Speaking to reception the following day, again i receive an apology but no real suggestion of recompense of any sort, only the promise of a great discount rate for my next stay, as if that might happen. Extremely disappointed, as no matter how much you pay for your room it should at least be clean and without the presence of the previous occupant.

Great location

Pros: Price , location, access, service, convenience
Cons: Bed not attached to the bedhead so it moved away from wall when you lay n it watching TV
Location: Cinema, eating and dining, shopping (with real sales on without the boxing day frenzy), the city a quick and convenient tram ride or a doable walk
A great location with everything you need, very helpful and organised staff jut a phone call or text away. Staying in the heart of Carlton with everything you need a short walk away or several tram trip options around the corner. Plenty of space, a kitchenette and onsite undercover parking with a fast cold air conditioner as needed for a hot few days.

Good but inconvenient

Place is well located, surrounding quiet, room well maintained, has the necessities, door is amazingly hard to open, the killer is the lack of an elevator, carrying heavy luggage up a few flight of stairs is a put off.

Budget accomodation well located north of the city. A late booking was not too much trouble either. Will be back
