I am writing to share my recent experience at The Nomad Hotel, booked through Orbitz, which regrettably fell far short of my expectations.
On the morning of February 10th, my 18-year-old niece and I experienced a distressing incident during our stay. We were abruptly awakened by violent knocks and yelling at our hotel room door, leading us to believe there was a fire. Upon opening the door, we were confronted by individuals who entered our room without invitation, exacerbating our sense of vulnerability.
It was later discovered that a toilet supply line had broken, causing extensive flooding within our room. Despite our immediate pleas for assistance, no apologies were offered, and we endured over two hours of upheaval without adequate support from hotel staff.
Repeated attempts to contact management for assistance were met with inadequate responses, and promises of reimbursement for damages incurred remain unfulfilled.
As a loyal customer, I have always held The Nomad Hotel in high regard. However, the events of February 10th have left me deeply disappointed with the level of neglect, service and care provided by The Nomad staff.
I hope that by sharing my experience, steps will be taken to address these issues and prevent similar incidents in the future.
