We enjoyed the resort. Staff were excellent. Our room was dated with quick amature repairs done (globs of silicone sealant in bathroom, etc), balcony door nearly impossible to slide. We loved the food at the main buffet. Found the lunch sushi difficult to access (wait line, very slow service) and the reservation dinner in main courtyard was NOT worth the effort - food average and had to have the seafood salad removed due to the smell (as per our seafood lovers). Also, our meal at this restaurant was drowned out by (bad) karaoke. In the evenings, noise from the main bar was clearly heard in our room until late (we have kids). Overall a good place and we would stay there again but would prefer a room further from the main courtyard.

Hi. We enjoyed our visit to Cancun Bay Resort in Cancun. We will like to thank you for your hospitality and the wonderful experience. The room was okay, the food plenty and testy, the beach, the pool and the bars great. One thing I would recommend is to have a coffee machine (for a real coffee) placed in the main hallway for easy access at any time ( not waiting for the restaurant to open). The staff was always helpful. The entertainment team was great. Thanks for the nice vacation. For those who are not satisfied with this hotel, please add $ 5.000 more and get a stay next door!

Cancun Bay was sold as a resort. Not a chance! As a hotel, which is what the wrist band says, it's fine. There's not much to do. The food is flat out bad. The restaurants are underwhelming if you even get a reservation at one. This is not where you go to spend your whole trip without leaving (unless you want to starve or die of boredom). It's just a hotel. A safe place to lay your head. The staff is nice, but there aren't enough. No premium liquor is even available, let alone included. Stay at a hotel near a mall for cheaper. We had to go to La Isla mujeres and restaurants in town in order to save our vacation. If you don't have $2k USD to add to your trip, maybe you don't stay here...

Our flight being cancelled due to mechanical issues, out of our control. The hotel would not refund us the hotel cost. Be careful of this hotel. Services were not used and I was charged for the whole cost of the hotel stay. Expedia will not let me post this review.

This is a very dated facility. Room smelled of sewer gas at times, food selections were very poor, staff worked hard and were excellent, but overall, for an all inclusive resort this place is small and below par. We will not be staying there again.

It was our first trip to Mexico, and we were on a budget, this place certainly fit the bill. I am so grateful to the staff for their excellent service! They were cheerful, energetic, and very helpful. While we did have a minor issue with our first room assignment, they immediately offered to move us to another, ensuring it was clean. Housekeeping was excellent, our room was tidied daily, and drinks were replenished. Although their standard rooms could use some improvementā€”for instance, the bathrooms only have curtains instead of doors for privacy, and the toilet sometimes required time to flush. Maybe their other rooms are better. The buffet was always well-stocked, with some dishes changing daily. The pools and drinks were readily accessible. While reservations for their other restaurants required waking up early to make reservations by 8:30 AM, this wasn't a problem for us, as we enjoy waking up early on vacation. Overall, the price we paid for our stay was reasonable.

Overall the hotel was good, me and my friends had a great time but they only had bottom shelf liquor and the cleanliness wasnā€™t amazing, but the staff made the trip for us especially Jordan and Alex the bartenders they looked after us day and night and really made the trip great!

Very boring property; clean & in a convenient location in the hotel zone but very BORING. I can not stress this enough. Not enough entertainment at all. A lot of older people there! Lights were off in the lobby and quiet before midnight . The suites were spacious but could use upgrades. Three bathrooms were appreciated. We also had a small balcony. Fridges were stocked daily. Martha also took my 20 dollars to send me to a Wyndham timeshare presentation to get a ā€œdiscount on a excursionā€ and because we didnā€™t go we didnā€™t get our 20 back for our ā€œsunset cruiseā€. The dining options were limited and terrible for breakfast and dinner . No live chef to even get a omelette in the morning. We didnā€™t even bother checking for lunch. We paid for an all inclusive and ended up just buying food outside daily . The drinks at the bar were okay. Nothing special . Had better. Over all this place get a 2/10. Wouldnā€™t stay here again but it was a last minute booking and the price was decent and I see why.
